As an Asian American myself, it's funny because Avatar is essentially a woke white take on anime that a lot of their US fans think anime should be. Lindsay is right, but she's dealing with a clearly culturally blind bunch of dipshits on her level who think Asians are white, and that anime should be clearly creatively directed by a market outside of Japan than actually doing their own shit, like starting up their own market/creative culture. Because you know, whining and mocking about it as a bunch of "tasteful anime nerds" is clearly a sign of cultural
hegemony integration.
Also, never forget that Lindsay openly says anime is the worst because it doesn't follow "traditional movie storytelling" or whatever her spoiled suburbanite ass likes to preach on about:
