So Kyle Kallgren's fiancee (?) Jordain Searles, a Strong Disabled Queer Woman of Color, accused Dany "Lina Morgan" Roth of sexually harassing her and trying to kiss her in December of 2019. Dany is Todd in the Shadows's bestie and his co-host on the podcast Song vs Song. Todd didn't cancel Dany, Kallgren lost that entire TGWTG friend group over it, and Dany just trooned out to try to escape himself this past month. Lindsay guested on the podcast (defending Nookie by Limp Bizkit) not long ago and of course both Todd and Dany simped to an appalling degree. The fallout from this might spread to the entire Lindsaysphere.

I tapped out of the podcasts after the painful one with Lindsay, skipped those with Sarah Z and Dan Olson. Listened to the Bjork vs Tori one which was baaaaaaad and far too long and that was it. Had listened to all the ones up to that point but there is a limit and hearing "time is a flat circle" more than five times in an hour by a Lindsay clone was mine. There was no insight, and none of them had any idea what the hell they were talking about. Honestly, Dany's spergout about why wasn't Anna or Elsa gay in the Frozen II episode was probably the cringiest moment of all.

I too have been watching Todd for about as long and enjoy(ed? they've been falling a bit flat lately) his videos, especially OHW and Trainwreckords. He's just such a Twitter white (okay, Asian mixed) knight for breadtuber girls, troons and OnlyFans thots. IMO some of his best videos were in the year before he moved and was further away from Lindsay's influence, because when he's following her around he's 1) an asshole and 2) parroting her humor. He did manage to find a group in which being a boring, relatively normal straight guy is considered weird (compared to all the bi/trans/poly/nb/label du jour theater types that comprise the Chez Apocalypse/breadtube clique) so, way to use what he had. His repeated defenses of pedos, child porn purveyors and sex pests as well as the stupidity during Gamergate make his moral fortitude questionable though. His sister in law is a furry with a furaffinity page and a side hustle doing commissioned furry art, and she's married to his brother that he's close to so something went wrong in the raising of those kids. I'm also fairly sure Todd follows this thread (hi Kenny!).

Point is, Dany's gay and just needs to deal and Todd could do better but won't as long as he's happy being Lindsay's backup cuck.

If I'm understanding this right, Lindsay is being cancelled for complaining about media that mashes different cultures together under a vague umbrella of "Asian" and ignores its cultural context. I thought this was a pretty woke opinion, and is a criticism I've seen other people level against Raya and Avatar without any incident. Or is Lindsay just not allowed to comment on "Asian issues" because she's white?

As an Asian American myself, it's funny because Avatar is essentially a woke white take on anime that a lot of their US fans think anime should be. Lindsay is right, but she's dealing with a clearly culturally blind bunch of dipshits on her level who think Asians are white, and that anime should be clearly creatively directed by a market outside of Japan than actually doing their own shit, like starting up their own market/creative culture. Because you know, whining and mocking about it as a bunch of "tasteful anime nerds" is clearly a sign of cultural hegemony integration.

Also, never forget that Lindsay openly says anime is the worst because it doesn't follow "traditional movie storytelling" or whatever her spoiled suburbanite ass likes to preach on about:

Ellis’ efforts (to use the term loosely) is like a tenth grader who waited until the night before to write a book report - her shit has never been insightful or interesting but in the world of astronomically low standards and astronomically thirsty simps, she got far more attention than she ever deserved. Furry SIL has multiple Twitter accounts, including one under her married name and another under her business/furry name so like any good KF autist, I followed the breadcrumbs. Didn't see any reason to post the full dox here as it's too many degrees away from Lindsay to be relevant. Most of the rest comes from watching his content and following him on Twitter, where he's smart enough to mostly post pictures of the admittedly cute Amydog but occasionally slips into spergery or worse. He's an interesting case study of a middling youtuber who has managed to succeed on his own terms enough to get sponsorship while staying under the radar (so far).

Breadtube now is not unlike the Internet Bloodsports community a few years ago. It's a powder-keg of volatile and self-important personalities who pretended to be friends to grow their channels. And like IBS, it is destined to explode in a flurry of backbiting and recriminations that will destroy multiple youtubers. Lindsay will probably survive this given the support she receives from servile media simps, but it would be funny if this flap proves to be the inciting incident that collapses Breadtube. Unlikely, but one can hope.

I admittedly don't watch the entirety of the Song Vs. Song podcasts, as they've been some that I'm not familiar with lately (because it was wahmen's history month??) . Glad that you said they're boring though.

As for "copying", IIRC Lindsay mentioned the generic aspects of fantasy it does, such as "chosen one", "world spanning epic", "controlling the elements", and "chosen one being able to control all the elements".

I hate the animation for Avatar. It's very stiff. Something they mostly corrected in the sequel show, Korra, but that has it's own share of problems beyond the animation.
