Man I really feel kinda bad for the dude up now

Imagine being a well-spoken, well-educated, well-kempt productive member of society and police sergeant who wants to help his community, then you look around and realize you're the fiftieth black witness and literally the only one that doesn't look and act like a black junkie drug stereotype so ridiculous it'd get thrown out by /pol/ for being overly simple and unrealistic
in a trial of a fentanyl addicted career felon that died resisting arrest while trying to pass off a fake 20 dollar bill literally holding a banana and dancing around.

I'd be calling other black people nigg(er) too

What exactly can they even get Chauvin on? Virtually all the remaining charges require intent and the prosecution hasn't even come close to proving it.
They don't need to prove it. They just need the jury to say it was so. And when you have the NYTimes threatening to dox the jury, that becomes a lot easier.

We have weeks more of this. I'm just waiting for some witness down the line to realize the trial is going poorly and claim they heard Chauvin say "I'm gonna kill this nigger".

Every time I see someone here post an image of fentanyl Floyd and his big fucking honker and big fucking moo moo cocaine lips, I laugh so fucking hard, because of COURSE this “(living)” satire of a minstrel show character was the lowlife criminal to spark the civil war with his death. This is the retard that is the martyr for these idiots. of COURSE he was.

I matched with some chick on Tinder and her profile has a pic of fentanyl Floyd with angel wings on it. He's unironically a saint to some people.

IIRC the jury is insulated from all and any media outside of the court room. They have no internet or TV news media access, they're literally in a hotel for the entire duration of the trial.

I still think the defense should've pushed harder for a change of venue before the trial had begun.

The knee did matter to some degree because Chauvin was still restraining Floyd that way after he was unresponsive. The paramedic testimony yesterday said that he was deceased when they got to him, yet Chauvin was still on his neck.

How can you assume I’m wrong when we haven’t heard the rest of the case? There could be a witness coming up who turns the case on its head, you sound far more set in your opinion than I do, we aren’t even half way through the trial yet. I’m not saying ‘he’s guilty’ because they haven’t proved that beyond a reasonable doubt yet that’s what I’m trying to say, but that doesn’t mean that a defence or prosecution witness isn’t going to put aside any doubt. If he gets found not guilty then he’s innocent and I respect the jurors for their decision. I’m not one of those who’s going to be outraged and protesting if he doesn’t get convicted. It’s up to the jury. Just like most of the world thought Casey Anthony was guilty but it turned out they hadn’t proven their case beyond a reasonable doubt.
I only talked about what was testified to in court yesterday, and how I found those things interesting. I’ll wait until after closing arguments to settle on an opinion.

Just like you can’t be sure that a witness will suddenly refuse to testify or admit to something on the stand that flips the table. Like Chauvin could decide to testify at the last minute and do a really bad job, or he could do an excellent job and satisfy jurors that he is innocent.

To be fair the 3rd grade old guy left a nice impression too, he was also very factual and didn't suger coat or try to push an agenda while being questioned, so he's not alone in being a black witness that's well adjusted and productive member of society, and all that despite only receiving 3 years of education

I read the autopsy report I know he didn’t have injuries to the neck and the ‘mob’ was around 8 people who were concerned by what they were seeing. Chauvin has had 17 complaints logged and was involved in two shootings. He’s no martyr himself. I’m not here to argue anyway I’m not ‘one of those people’, I just see it differently and that’s allowed we can all agree to disagree. The jury is making the decision not us but not everyone will perceive the evidence in the same way. There must be some evidence that he was in the wrong to be charged and on trial for 2nd and 3rd degree murder and manslaughter.

If the jury find him not guilty then he’s not guilty and that is the end of it. I respect your opinion, I’m not saying you’re wrong but just because I don’t see it the same way you do doesn’t mean I’m wrong. The jury is made of people of all ages, backgrounds, with their own opinions, I doubt everyone of them will agree on the first vote in deliberations. But once they get into debating then some members will likely change their opinion.

I don't really disagree, but that isn't exactly constructive advice.
I'm not sure how else to phrase it. People in general need to realize that life in general is not going to serve them things on silver platters. Life is out to kick your ass, and until you learn how to put on your big boy pants and work for what matters to you it'll do just that.
