Psychs are all quacks. I know a guy whose psychiatrist prescribed him estrogen not because he's dysphoric, but because he has depression and SSRIs did not have the intended effect, and the psychiatrist believes that estrogen is a legitimate treatment for male depression. Going to a therapist really isn't much better than getting your advice from troons.

Sorry that your friend trooned out.

I feel like there’s a few gaps in this story

the fuck

Testosterone is. It literally is. You might check testosterone levels before handing over the script, because it might be an early symptom of the balls being lazy fuckers (in which case, you send your patient over to an endocrinologist and/or urologist because this is their problem), but it is a treatment. This is shit that should get a license to practice medicine yanked.

Admittedly, this might also contribute to a lot of the troon an heroing issue...

Edit: I should note, there are a lot of papers on this subject, enough that I'm actually still somewhat surprised nobody's tried giving depressed women testosterone. (I anticipate that being a shitshow.)

God I hope they make let Kev live in the EarthShip. A literal amhole in the ground made of trash 🌈

Wedge is ramping up the e-beg for more free money to accompany his tax-funded nose job:

Well, to be fair Wedge, if Kevin and other troons are your sole sexual partners, you have also never seen a woman orgasm.

Because I'm still convinced he just sets them on a shelf, look at them for a few seconds, then goes back to masturbating to pictures of rubber duckies on Twitter.
All right, my new Ultimate Fantasy Crossover is Kevryn/Marie Kondo.

She's little and looks cute, but I bet she can draw on a righteous berserker fury once she picks up that universal otaku stench of inactive, unbathed nerd, stale laundry and offgassing plastic.

I love how sexually deviant males pretending to be women with zero actual experience with real females, know so much about the female orgasm or assume that no one else has ever seen one.

The "cracking eggs" terminology never stops being creepy, does it?
Egg cracking is modern day flirty fishing. Hype some schmuck up about how sexy he’d be as a woman, ERP with him, and fuck him into trooning. Kevin’s been teasing Mode_View with hook up to get him to troon. Mode’s a fence sitter so Kevin’s going all in now.

This is probably nothing, but I don't really know why this caught my attention.

I was curious what Kevin was reading, so I matched the color coding of the letters on the spine and found it matched to this book.
The classic guide to love, sex, and intimacy beyond the limits of conventional monogamy has been fully updated to reflect today’s modern attitudes and the latest information on nontraditional relationships.

“One of the most useful relationship books you could ever read, no matter what your lifestyle choices. It’s chock-full of great information about communication, jealousy, asking for what you want, and maintaining a relationship with integrity.”—Annie Sprinkle, PhD, sexologist and author of Dr. Sprinkle’s Spectacular Sex

For 20 years The Ethical Slut—widely known as the “Poly Bible”—has dispelled myths and showed curious readers how to maintain a successful polyamorous lifestyle through open communication, emotional honesty, and safer sex practices. The third edition of this timeless guide to the ethics of relationships, communication, and sex has been revised to include:

• Interviews with poly millennials (young people who have grown up without the prejudices their elders encountered regarding gender, orientation, sexuality, and relationships)
• Tributes to polyamory pioneers
• Tools for conflict resolution and instructions on how to improve interpersonal dynamics
• New sidebars on topics such as asexuality, sex workers, LGBTQ terminology, and ways polys can connect and thrive

The authors also include new content addressing nontraditional relationships beyond the polyamorous paradigm of “more than two”: couples who don't live together, couples who don't have sex with each other, nonparallel arrangements, couples with widely divergent sex styles, power disparities, and cross-orientation relationships, while utilizing nonbinary gender language and new terms that have come into common usage since the last edition.
It's a book about polyamory how to handle an open relationship. I know it says it covers all sorts of non traditional relationships, but I don't know if the author intended, "several castrated dudes on a ranch with no sex drive" as a type of functional relationship. I wonder does Kevin really need a book about how to prevent Penny from being insecure about all the sex he doesn't have with Wedge?

Oh, never mind this book is perfect for Kevin's current situation.

I dont think these people understand what "timeless" means.
Also lol, degenerates really need a propaganda-book to teach em about safe-sex practices.

Absolutely amazing that married couples have been stepping out on each other since time immemorial and yet now we need a manual on how to do it right.

Yeah, The Ethical Slut has been around for years and years. It's the standard text of rationalizations and fantasyland bullshit for the r/polyamory set. If you see it on someone's bookshelf, do not have sex with them. Or at the very least, don't move in with them or give them access to your bank account.

This is more along the lines of "How to keep shit from going south on an express" than safe sex--and how to do it as ethically as possible.

Given the sheer number of people who by failing to do so have managed to die and/or get themselves a thread on the Farms, there's damn good reason to have a manual that basically is Captain Obvious trying to be nice while ranting at idiots who missed some really basic memos. It's an entirely different discussion for a different thread if what it's trying to argue for is at all possible to actually pull off, and for our purposes it's entirely irrelevant.

After all, does anybody here seriously think Kev's going to keep reading once it becomes clear that it is not porn and it is all about **gasp!** not being a selfish asshole to those around you? (Assuming Kev can read it. It has words with more than 4 syllables.)

This is probably nothing, but I don't really know why this caught my attention.

I genuinely did not know Kevin could read anything longer than a twitter thread.

No, seriously.

Many a book has been bought to be stuck on a shelf so the owner can pretend to have read it.

That is, I suspect, the fate of the copies the r/polyamorous crowd gets. (It's not difficult to pirate a copy.) I haven't sat down and read it, but I'm pretty certain it either outright skips the kind of discussion of What Is Consent that is bog standard in any good BDSM how-to...or none of its fans actually paid attention to that.

But Kev's copy is totally going to be eaten by a sheep, which is more than Kev will do with it.
