China does not have the offensive capability to take on the US in the global theater and unless they used a lot of nukes, the US would get their asses thrashed invading China. Nobody anywhere under 30 who is thinking for themselves is going to support any new wars against anything but the forces of industry that are upsetting the balance of nature. That's where the struggle is shaping up; in Biden's infrastructure plan. It's going to be about renovating our infrastructure while reconciling our technology to the natural world , reducing carbon emissions and restoring biodiversity to our population centers and agricultural lands. Biden appears to be committed to restoring the Made in USA brand. I wish him well in that but don't trust him one bit to rein in the war toys industry overseas, which is pretty much my reason for this posting. What are the chances of trade wars with China escalating to a shooting war?

Militarily speaking, the U.S. would win, for a variety of reasons. But it would be a Pyrrhic victory in the long term because we'd fall into the same bullshit we did after World War 2 and every war afterward where we spent our money to prop up the remainders of whatever we destroyed.
America sucks dick at waging unconventional warfare, as our bungles in Vietnam and the Middle East have shown. It took us decades to even adapt to the type of shit that we've been fighting in the Middle East for the last 20 years. But a hot war against a traditional, large, conventional army? One which, unlike a bunch of cave dwelling goat farmers in the desert of varying allegiances, present a unified enemy for the normies of the US to unite against? Unless China said fuck it all and launched their nukes, knowing we'd retaliate and hit the reset button on life on this planet in the process, they would quickly find themselves facing not only a militarized US on steroids but would also find themselves getting tag teamed by pretty much every nation in the region except for Russia - A lot of Asian countries hate the shit out of China and would gladly use a war between China and the US as a chance to get some free shots in. And whereas modern wars such as Vietnam and Gulf War 1 and its sequel have had morally ambiguous causes behind them that were easy for the bleeding heart fags to rally against and decry, China is probably the closest present day analogue we have to Nazi Germany. They have no regard for anything but their own version of manifest destiny, the government exercises absolute control over its populace and they have even started unironically locking religious/ethnic minorities in concentration camps. There might be some diehard leftist types like Bernie fans and probably some lolbertarian types like Ron Paul (lol relevancy) who would oppose it (Bernie mostly because he probably thinks China has some good ideas). But you'd find much less opposition to a war with China than you would with what we've seen with Vietnam protests or 2000s anti-Bush protests. Especially if they were stupid enough to attack us first.
