I would agree with the eventual retraction if not for that DM that null posted where Ralph straight up admitted that not being retarded was wiser but it “wasn’t his style” or something to that effect.
He is an already prideful person who has staked all his ego marbles on this feud, it’s also superficially easier to take to its end (although far more expensive) than a fight.
I think he may actually take this to court, even if the wiser around him honestly convince him he will lose, like I said he has admitted that picking the dumb response is his style even when he knows it’s dumb.
Perhaps I am just displaying wishful thinking because I want to see a lolsuit

MST3K licensed all the movies they spoofed as far as I know, with the exception of the public domain ones, to avoid any legal issues. RiffTrax gets around that by selling just an audio track. You are supposed to buy the audio track and the movie, but pirates take the audio track and put it on top of the movie and distribute that as one file.

Criticism of some clips of a valueless paywalled podcast is likely to be considered fair use by a judge. Sargon showed how low the bar should be.
