Off-topic but on sort of.
Just a point, always remember that we're talking about overdosing on drugs, in unknown quantities, cut with who the fuck knows, not prescribed medical dosages. I'd hate for someone to use the quoted paragraph as a reason to not pursue (or prevent someone else pursuing) an ADHD diagnosis, and use the only method (NOT meth you fucktards, although yes it's still prescribed as an absolute last resort, dexamphetamine and methylphenidate) that has a hope in hell of touching the issue, the issue being norepinephrine regulation, dopamine is a lessor issue.A common side effect of meth is pulmonary edema. (E-Deem-A). It stands for "fluid in the lungs". I described it as basically pooling inside the lungs, but it turns out it's actually inside the little blood vessels, and the increased "pulmonary pressure" from meth, whatever that means, makes it likely that the internal fluid ends up in that area. What this means if for all intents and purposes, there is no blood reaching these tiny blood vessels, and no oxygen exchange going on. Pulmonary Edema is not simply caused by meth however, it requires some action to occur.
