Every time Rhys says that he's done with philosophy I relax a little bit. He's been expelled from his field and he knows it. Sometimes the world isn't such a bad place, after all.

In his old Philosochick blog he pretty much admitted that there was a huge rift between him, his mentor and other people in the philosophy department. Like a narc he also made it sound like they did something THEY needed to apologise for, but of course being a narc we can bet that they were quite simply fed up with his behavior. I assume that if philosophy circles are small in US, then they are even smaller in Canada and it wouldn't surprise me if he had a bad reputation there already.

First it was academia. Now Mr Leading Philosopher is leaving philosophy. Next, professional cycling will be declared toxic and finally he’ll be ranting about the dreadful state of the fast food industry.

I think that 99% of all interactions I've seen Rhys engage in can be boiled down to him just being an unrepentant asshole and if there's one small glimmer of happiness that can be taken from his miserable existence is that that are limits to what even entitled narcissistic assholes of his magnitude can get away with before society eventually throws its hands up and says "well, we tried".
First of all, I find it preposterous that Rhys is assuming his dogs' genders.
Well, do they? Who wants to go through and see if they can tell if his dogs have been neutered?
