🐱 ‘What the hell’: Jordan Peterson expresses shock after discovering his ideas are part of Marvel villain’s philosophy in Captain America comics

Jordan B Peterson appears to have discovered that a Captain America comic has been written where his ideas have been projected as part of the philosophy of the villain Red Skull. The clinical psychologist and author was rather shocked after he became aware of it.

The Captain America comic in question was written by one Ta-Nehisi Coates, an African American author. A user on social media shared the image of one of the pages of the comic while replying to Jordan Peterson on Twitter. According to those on social media, the concerned image is from the 28th issue of the Captain America comic.

The comic describes a conversation between Captain America and another individual. Red Skull can be seen on a laptop screen offering sermons on “Ten Rules for Life”, which is an obvious jibe at Jordan Peterson who has authored the popular bestseller “12 Rules for Life”.

Furthermore, Captain America’s words leave little room for doubt that Red Skull is based on the clinical psychologist. Red Skull is described as someone who offers lectures on the internet. “It’s the same for all of them. Young men. Weak. Looking for purpose. I found the flag, you found the badge. They found the Skull,” says the protagonist.

He continues, “He tells them what they’ve always longed to hear. That they are secretly great. That the whole world is against them. That if they’re truly men, they’ll fight back.” It is a gross oversimplification of Jordan Peterson actually teaches, to put it mildly.
Peterson said, after his initial “What the hell” reaction about the matter, “Do I really live in a universe where Ta-Nehisi Coates has written a Captain America comic featuring a parody of my ideas as part of the philosophy of the arch villain Red Skull?”
The Marvel Universe, which Captain America is a part of, has become increasingly ‘Woke’ in recent times with politics invading entertainment spaces in the United States. It is not the only one which has become overly politicised with the Star Wars franchise and others traversing a similar trajectory.

Yeah, something is seriously wrong when your villains actually sound like they have a point, one that's being ignored and decried by everyone.
Have a based Skull
"TO BE FAIR", any decent three-dimensional villain usually has a good point, but their means to an end is taken to bad extremes.

There's a reason why #ThanosWasRight was trending on Twitter after Infinity War.

Magneto is another good example: he's right in his philosophy, especially since he was a victim of the Holocaust, but he was pushed over the edge and his methods such as killing the entire non-mutant population are too extreme for an anti-hero.

Damn I mean yeah don’t really disagree with red skull here, but Peterson was never that based. I thought Peterson was just a regular lolcow now kinda forget he still gets some media attention.

Ta-Nehisi Coates is no different from black Israelites, and can be safely ignored and left in the margins he lurks in. This is the full measure of his intellectual "might":

Coates is so rutted in a culture which has been stewing in ineffectual parenting for so long that he feels the need to mock the concept of ideological parental guidance. Then he also needs to attach it to a character specifically created to illustrate the issue with orphaned children searching for a father figure.

If you knew better, you'd do better, baby.

Oh I get it!

Not Captain America back when he was actually patriotic. Neo-Cap who hates America is opposed to cleaning your room.

Although fuck JP. Big grifter who got hooked on benzos which he should have known were massively addictive due to being a psychologist who encourages others to take addictive psych meds.

Finally

LMFAO

To be fair if super villains were a thing they probably would have an online presence and would try to sound reasonable.. but they’d go too far. Not that I’m saying Peterson is reasonable but let’s be real if Joker was a thing, he’d be Internet famous, and would have a thread along with a dox.

To be fair, Red Skull was a literal white supremacist Nazi. He probably said no beaners and asians on the posters or something.
Well yeah, I know. The author's political slant is about as subtle as an elephant trampling through a funeral. These clowns don't know how to make anything without it being blatant propaganda.

Yawn. Psychologist. Canadian psychologist, not psychiatrist. Psychologists in Canada do not prescribe medication and are not MDs. Psychiatrists have prescription pads and a medical license. He does the talking kind of therapy not the drug kind, at least in his practice. In his private life, clearly another story.

This is a non story really. The idea that young men will latch onto things to find a greater meaning is hardly a JP original idea. After that the similarities seem to quickly dissipate. Red Skull evil... JP not so much it would seem. If this was meant to paint JP's work in a bad light, it actually seems to have just painted young men in a bad light - what's new? Apparently you either listen to ISIS or other extremist organizations that will give you their purpose and tell you to fight etc... or you wash your penis and clean your room. Aren't these the sorts of people who are afraid of radicalization? Strange how like with guns, they seem to be totally ignorant of how it works and what it all means.
