Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

I'm in two minds about Holodomor and do not condone the Russian human rights situation, so you have a point there.

Having said that, Chechnya is a feudal Islamic state and a hotbed of insane extremists, suicide bombers and honor killers. Nobody wants that shit festering on their borders.

Boston maraphon bomber? Nord-Ost theater massacre? Beslan schoolchildren? That nanny cutting off the head of her four-year old ward? Dozens of bombs planted in buses and subway trains? All Chechen. The "oppressed courageous freedom fighters" were praised by the Western media just to put another thorn in Russia's side, but now the West is gathering the harvest of French schoolteacher heads out of the seeds they kept watering with their crocodile tears thirty years ago.

Was it because of Stalin or Stalin knew about them lot since he was from Georgia.

Beats me, Stalin was the most vicious and insidious snake you'd ever meet. The deportation of Chechen and Ingush peoples is a can of worms I know little about, but 1) most of the lands previously occupied by them were given to his homeland of Georgia and 2) the old man was more paranoid than a long-tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs. My guess is he did not trust having Islamic minorities this close to Turkey that kept making belligirent Turkish noises and wanted to bud the potential Islamic collaborationist insurgency in the nip.

Or maybe he was just autistic and liked trains so much he wanted to share that passion with hundreds of thousands of people by putting them in train cars and giving them rides around the country. I wouldn't be surprised.

The USA funded literal, actual Nazis (checkout Azov Batallion) because they were anti-Russian. Then when they were publically called on it, they finally stopped funding. Waited about half a year. Then started funding them again.

Honestly, if actual Hitler re-appeared and shaved off his moustache, the US would be falling over themselves to lend him aid in his war against Russia. I had some footage now misplaced of a council vote taking place in the Ukraine. Ultranationalists were standing over each and every councilman's desk watching them fill out their vote to make sure they voted how they were supposed to.

Are we ever going to get the truth on Biden's financial entanglements with Burisma and the Ukraine? I guess now he's president nobody dares.

Oh yeah, I love that bit. Still waiting for the "bash the fash" crowd to do something about that. Any moment now. A-a-a-ny moment...

Check out the timeline, yah? Your new NATO bases came twenty years before the whole Donbass kerfuffle. Like I said earlier, existential threat. Any means necessary. Had there been no NATO encroachment, no Crimea shenanigans would have been necessary.

Russia had been invaded dozens of times over the course of its history. The Mongols, the Poles, the Lithuanians, the bloody Teutonic Knights, the Swedes, the Ottomans, the French, the Germans, even the fucking Chinese, endlesss border scuffles. Maintaining a network of buffer states is an issue of survival.
So it's okay then to gobble up smaller states who hate and fear you for the sake of survival? Give it up already, Mother Russia is dying, and Tsar Batyushka cucked hard to the Chinese and has become even more corrupt than Yeltsin.

It's either that or getting split into smaller states and gobbled up.

And you are wrong about the second part. We aren't yet at the point where we are forced to keep the decaying bodies of our dead relatives in the house, wiping them with formaldehyde cloth because we cannot afford to bury them, or eat grass like we did back in the nineties. Most people here would very much prefer not to go back to that interesting time, and Putin is seen as the man making sure we won't, God bless his little cotton socks and the 100 000 000 000$ summer palace he built with our money.

Also, Russia has been dying for a thousand years. I cannot think of the time it wasn't dying.

Just like we all, when you think about it.

Ukraine bugs NATO constantly for a Membership Action Plan it's kind of embarrassing.

As for shipments Ukraine is allocated $250 million dollars and the Humvees are a part of that. They're also getting radios, radar, and "situational awareness capabilities" whatever that means. All according to an article by Ukrainian state media: https://www.ukrinform.net/rubric-de...mvee-vehicles-arrives-in-ukraine-from-us.html

Anyone interested in keeping track of things can look at liveuamap.com. It shows troop movements, ceasefire violations and some news.
When the military says situational awareness, they mean your ability to know what's going on around you as a means to avoid being ambushed or generally fucking something up. In reference to technology, theyre most likely talking about radar, satellite/drone imaging, and spying technologies.

I didn't say the country is in worse shape than it was in the 90s, only that Putin became as corrupt as Yeltsin. The pie may have gotten bigger, but you're still getting the same crumbs proportionally that you did in the 90s.

Oh, absolutely. But I feel that the "5% of a country's population owns 95% of its wealth" problem is not endemic to Russia. The US politics is dominated by the same few influential families - the Clintons, the Bushes, maybe the Trumps now. They certainly have the money and do not seem to be particularly keen to share. Going back to the subject of this thread, the Bidens' relations with the Ukraine are down right incestuous, but nobody is batting an eye.

I'd say the oligarchs are a blight on the society, but that sounds dangerously communist and I am too old for that shit.

mayhaps it's not some NATO grand scheme to conquer Russia to finally reign over the endless uninhabited permafrost, maybe just some of your "buffer states" would rather not be that any longer

there were nazis figthing on DNR/LNR side as well, one of leaders of the "republic" was an ex-neonazi

Psaki: Biden Talks To Obama Often, We’re Not Going To Reveal What They Talk About

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said during Tuesday’s press conference that President Joe Biden speaks to former President Barack Obama and that the administration will not disclose what they talk about despite the administration saying that it will be transparent.

“Has President Biden spoken to President Obama about how to pass the infrastructure bill?” a reporter asked. “Has President Obama given him any advice on how to pass that bill?”

“They speak regularly,” Psaki responded. “They, of course, were president and vice president, but they are also friends and they share a bond of serving through eight years of the Obama Biden administration, but also a personal friendship and kinship and he speaks with him regularly, but we’re not going to read out those calls.”

Psaki said last month that Biden was in “regular” contact with Obama to “consult and talk about a range of issues.”

Psaki made the remarks during the following exchange:

REPORTER: President Obama is taking part, I think within the next hour, in an event with Protect Our Care, talking about the Affordable Care Act. Has — has he — the question is: Has he visited the White House yet? Or, indeed, are there any — do you know how often he has spoken to President Biden? And are there any plans for him to take part in advocacy at administration events going forward?

PSAKI: Well, I will say, having a unique view of this question, they are not just — they were not just the President and Vice President; they are friends, and they consult and talk about a range of issues. And, you know, I would expect that continues through the course of President Biden’s presidency. That can be done over the phone, it turns out. And I don’t — I think if President Obama had been here, you would all know; he’s a recognizable figure. But I expect, given former President Obama’s work on the Affordable Care Act, President Biden’s commitment to expanding access to healthcare throughout his presidency, that, you know, it’s an issue they’ll talk about. But in terms of what he’ll be involved in, I would point you to his team. Eric Schultz — I can give you his phone number if you need it.

REPORTER: Do you know how many times they’ve spoken since Inauguration Day?

PSAKI: I don’t have an exact number for you. You know, they keep in regular touch and our teams are in regular touch about a range of issues.

Psaki also made news at the press conference on vaccine passports when she claimed that the administration would not be “supporting a system that requires Americans to carry a credential.”

“There will be no federal vaccinations database and no federal mandate requiring everyone to obtain a single vaccination credential,” she added. “As these tools are being considered by the private and non-profit sectors, our interest is very simple from the federal government, which is Americans’ privacy and rights should be protected so these systems are not used against people unfairly.”

The role of NASA returning to this neutered agency just being siphoned for other woke projects is why I will never understand the fat reddit virgins like movieblob who talk about the future we should already have under all blue leadership.

Instead of filtering the air in space capsules, NASA now has engineers working on filtering out the stink from overcrowded facilities.
