The public is so polarised that one's apparent performance in an argument is based almost entirely on how much the viewer agrees with them. I'm sure "the mob" thinks the prosecution is "spittin' fire" or however they phrase it, just like how the Michael Van Der Ween receives universal adulation on the Right while the Left is wondering if Trump should sue him for malpractice.
they literally do. The general feeling I'm seeing is they think that Nelson's questioning is poor and that the fact they're talking about the "angry crowd" means they have nothing else to go with.

so far seen very little about the drugs, but I assume they're dismissing it because knees on neck > speedballs

Judging by the reddit post above, everyone knows the prosecution is shitting the bed.

They really don't, the cope narrative that's been forming is that the prosecution is throwing the case because they're complicit in institutional racism and that'll be the official story once Chauvin gets a sentence that's anything less than getting stoned to death by Ibram Kendi books while the jury chants BLM. They did think the crowd witnesses were all stunning and brave though.

I've definitely seen some "they're part of the racist system making sure to let their thugs off" takes on Reddit and Twitter from those who know for certain chauvin is guilty but also know the prosecution is utterly failing to convince anyone of that fact.

Since each shot is a new thing, I think we are seeing the results of buying into the narrative. I think.... I think the prosecution legitimately believed all the bullshit pressed by the press about how every single element of defense for Chauvin was wrong.
I really don't want to believe that the prosecution is stupid to the extent where they didn't consider creating counterarguments for any reasonable defense provided. But that might just be the case.

Maybe, but I suspect those people are the same kind of people who think that Dems are part of white supremacy and that they can start a communist revolution out of the CHAZ if they just keep trying (i.e. they're to the Left what wignats are to the right), and the prosecution is playing to a more mainstream crowd.

Its the only thing that makes sense, it ties together everything so nicely.

Why was their opening arguments a series of debunkable points, why do they keep bringing on experts that shoot them in the foot, why are so few of their witnesses they plan to bring forth actual experts? Because they literally believed their position is unassailable.

And the problem for them is that this isn't TV or Video Games. They don't get to hunt down new evidence and reveal it in a surprise display. What they brought to the court, in all its hubris, is all they get.

It will be the same comments when it gets to the ME and pathology expert witnesses. "Oh my god they only have 5 advanced degrees and 20 years experience, how could they let such unqualified people comment".

Its the usual "I fucking love science, believe experts (except when they disagree with us)" that redditors go in
Every redditor I have spoken to has immediately declared I'm lying about my degree. Even for extremely basic shit you can literally find with a google, or advanced shit you have to dumb down, to the point where I've had some demand I post my unredacted diploma. And god forbid they can find a Vox article written by a 30 year journo misquoting a study that was later removed for being shit. Never for being wrong, or being against consensus, but the mere application of a scientific thing to something that isn't pozzed.

Serves me right for being on reddit I guess.

How many mistral can there be before someone puts a halt to the whole thing? I'm pretty certain that's where this is heading, mistral after mistral. In the 12 there is almost guaranteed to be at least 1 person from each of the polarised extremes on this shit who wouldn't change one way or another even if there was irrefutable proof.
