Rand Paul and Jeff Flake were present at the 2017 baseball shooting incident. So, in some cases they're just as accessible. I don't know in public speaking scenarios.

If you get on the donor list, you can get some pretty good access. Volunteering also gets you access. Going to bumfuck Iowa gets you further access. I haven't shaken hands with a governor yet. In Minecraft.

Guns in California are so ridiculous. Yes, the state bans particular grips and stocks, but where they really get you is ammo. Lead-free bullets and shot for hunting, but the most annoying part is the $1 background check per ammo purchase, which is a perfect example of people who don't shoot making stupid rules. Why would I buy one box of ammo and pay a buck when I can buy 80 boxes and pay a buck? So of course people are hoarding and there are chronic shortages. Sheer stupidity.

David Simon's book 'Homicide' (the factual book that inspired the TV show Homicide: Life on the streets) detailed an interesting case. White beat cop approached a black drug dealer on his 'corner' for a chat. Wasn't trying to make an arrest, didn't have his gun drawn. Nigger shot the cop without warning, in public, with witnesses. The shot, fired upwards into the cop's head, destroyed his eyesight and senses of taste and smell. Cop was in his 20's with a new baby daughter.
Nigger got charged with attempted murder and was found not guilty despite being provably guilty.
Basis of this was because one of the jurors was a young black woman who 'dittn't like the po-leese' and refused to convict on that basis.
You think that niggers can control their prejudices in a jury when they can't control their constant nigger tantrums over everything else? I wish I had your optimism.

If I remember correctly, California doesn't have any magazine restrictions anymore because a federal judge saw the law as unconstitutional.

Either genius incompetence or it was by design. Drive up the price of ammo via high demand by "forcing" bulk/hording buying because of a stupid tax.

That's also how they fucked over CCW requirements and (tbf this was in Hawaii so a different set of insane coastal neoliberals) the right to carry in general. Even though they lost the initial rulings and appeals they just kept appealing until they drew a large enough pool of '''''random'''' 9th circus judges to say that actually the 2nd Amendment can be freely infringed.

This is why more and more people who live on the West Coast are moving to states that are Pro-2nd Amendment like Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, West Virginia, and Wyoming.
