I don't care what James looks like. My problem with him is that he makes up shit and embellishes regularly. You don't need to do these things with Phil, he provides enough lolz and lies himself. But, that's the Youtube game... he really needs those views, he really does.

I've been around DPSLand for a while and this is why I pretty much stopped watching detractor videos and the people who document DSP's every single move, every single day for years. They always end up being some slob themselves or autistic.
Fred Fuchs: Paranoid autist.
TXT: 45 year old autistic man.
DrgnKiller: Autist.
James The Lesser: Slob.
And the list goes on. I get it, people are bored and DSP is an easy person to laugh at but when you get to the point of getting upset about his existence and talking on 4 hour podcast about the guy... enough is enough.
Not to bash the current guys who restream Phil nowadays, I don't know much about them other than LyteSydeBill is unlistenable when he's drunk and Ant guy plays anime crap but their content is just not for me anymore.
I am also a guy that thinks paying someone to watch them play a video game is the most retarded shit in the world, but people love doing it. So take my opinion with a grain of salt.

The #1 detractor channel right now for me is Mrhuth, literally never commentates and will hardly type in chat in a livestream, and even if you ask for simple stuff like a link to a video during a livestream he will give it instantly (showing some type of curtesy)
Mrhuth is really simple, doesn't upload too often, doesn't come off as obsessed, and comes off as someone just here for the ride imo

Oh yeah I forgot about Mrhuth. Yeah I like him. Doesn't commentate and just gives the clips of DSP making an idiot of himself. He is one of the very few though.
TXT is very, VERY obsessed with not wanting to seem like DSP. He is also gravely afraid of people finding out who he is. He also loves getting into slapfights on Twitter over the dumbest shit. Haven't seen a tweet from him in a while but last time I seen him the guy was arguing with a 17 year old kid about Star Wars for weeks.

This is something I find funny about DSP, Twitch pulls these "we care" "we're doing a thing for <insert hashtag or pandering thing to make it look like we care here>" "blah blah blah toxicity blah blah blah cuck, simp virign" and then there's DSP who's a partner that has a situation that he will be in or has been in that pretty much just like if you replace John Cena's face with DSP's in the "Are you sure about that" meme.
It's probably the only entertaining thing about DSP.

Watching a guy like Phil for too long provides a real danger of subconsciously becoming like him in a way.
Much the same way those who watch reality TV are the biggest drama queens alive.
Now whether the chicken came before the egg in terms of if they were this way pre-Phil, we'll never know.
All I know is DSP is not worth investing too much time in this life on.

Yea, I'm actually happy Tevin stopped restreaming, I don't watch any restreamers lately, and can barely be fucked to watch a tractor clip or two. I much prefer the "company" of people on these threads, and as a bonus, I rarely have to see the pudgy man, let alone hear his dumbass.
On the point of appearance of detractors vs. PPB, I think its pointless to care about, people don't have to look at themselves unless they consciously want to. Most of the time, it's everyone else's problem, and PPB is known to have that mentality.
