One thing I must admit - the more I listen to court hearings, the more I miss good, old lex talionis, public executions, and duels. Except for our present-day, overly bureaucratic, pedantic justice systems, basically every judge in the history of mankind would look at this circus and just flat out state "this is nonsense".

I don't know man, I'm more inclined to believe that a judge/mob would have just massacred Derek for being white. It's not like a white guy would have risked himself against the mob to publicly protect him.

The added pressure from the knee lodged the chiclet in his throat asphyxiating him. OMG we were the bad guys all along.
