It's still amazing to me that Biden can jack up the price of insulin, increase the number of detained illegal children to almost 10x under Trump, and the Democrats who whined about the affordability of healthcare and the treatment of these children will be totally silent. It's proof that they never cared about this stuff in the first place, it just made for a good soundbite.

IMO this is a race I’d be happy for the US to lose. No one needs to be a billionaire, and the billionaire level is the level at which you start distorting the local political landscape through your mere presence, and where you can start freely funding insurgencies, think-tanks, and NGOs (tax-free, of course).
It’s dangerous when you have billionaires believing they can reshape society to their image, and there are far more of those than there are Trumps around.
It’s fascinating as most Mestizo Mexicans are basically the equivalent of the NA natives today (many of whom have mixed considerably with the white populations).
And considering the differences between the two, I chalk it up to culture, same as the differences between African Americans and more recent African immigrants.
The uncomfortable secret that tells us is that culture can easily decay and perpetuate unhealthy, even dysgenic trends in society, no matter the genetics.
