And they want people to have passports indicating they took a vaccine that had the least testing of a vaccine in modern history. Either all that vetting wasn't needed (and you can ask Jet Fuel Johnny about being a lab rat for vaccines) or they simply didn't give a fuck about how safe it was. Considering you can't sue the manufacturers of the vaccines for side effects I'm betting it's the latter.

It's kinda odd that this is the one thing the democrats are always willing to make a big stink over when they have power. It's the one thing that practically guarantees they will face stiff opposition and tends to make them suffer electoral losses. It's enough to make me wonder if the people talking about the establishment parties(Democrats in this case, but the establishment GOP is like this too, I would assume)wanting to lose just enough power so they can grift continually are on to something.
It would make far more sense to try and make some sort of handout program the hill they want to die on politically. Since some of the people can always be duped into being paid back more of their own money that they got taxed for in the first place. Hell, at the state level they could try the whole raising the minimum wage thing again, since it failed federally. Go for the 15 dollar standard if they want to be dumb about it, means tested if they want to be clever about it. They could also push back against some of the tougher state level abortion laws the GOP has passed into law in various states if they wanted to, but they won't for some reason.

Folks, in my opinion it has taken less than 90 days to show Joe as the worst President ever. I perceive the national level of anger as starting to go off the charts.
I am not advocating violence but am increasingly concerned Civil War 2.0 is coming. It will be government/media/big corporations/Big Tech against the American people. I can see cyberwarfare and low-level violence as in the Irish "troubles".
What bothers me is why government/media/Big Tech/big corporations are acting in a way to make such a conflict almost inevitable. All of a sudden, institutions once as American as apple pie, such as Major League Baseball, have become "woke", acting in a fashion inimical to the American way. Since Georgia wants voters to have a valid ID when voting, MLB pulls the All-Star Game from Atlanta. Yet you have to show ID to pick up tickets for a ball game at the will call. Voting is far more important than going to a ball game. For my part, removed the St. Louis Cardinals' website from my bookmarks, after being a fan over 50 years. No more pro sports, Coke products, or American Airlines for me, for starters.
These organizations seem to forget for every measure there's a countermeasure, people are endlessly inventive, and Americans aren't Chinese.
Believe someone, or a group of someones, needs to back off, while they still can. Nobody will win a Civil War 2.0. We will all lose. Need to get some sanity back in the country before it is too late.

This is better than the COVID-19 survival rate, which ranges from 99.95% (18-49) to 91% (65+). Vaccination also prevents severe illness which, even if it does not result in death, can be very unpleasant and can create all sorts of physical, economic, and social issues as you are removed from society for a couple weeks.
And I don't think they called all 2,794 deaths wrong. The vaccines so far have been disproportionately adminstered to the elderly and those with serious health conditions. Naturally, a lot of those people are going to die, just because they're old and/or sick.

I want the minimum wage to be raise just a little because it hasn't in two decades, while the price of living is getting ridiculous, but I understand the counter-argument of it hurting small businesses. I also want Marijuana to be legalize because it's a fucking plant that grows naturally, and the government could make bank off of that instead and more dangerous substances are already legal in the U.S, like tobacco and Alcohol. It's ridiculous that there are people being locked up for ingesting a plant, I know drugs can be abused and lead to dangerous and violence acts but so dose obsessives drinking.
I know most democracts just want power and don't give a shit about immigrants or minorities, they only race bait them and victimized to keep voting for them.
More republicans have to call that shit out, so neolibs can stop with the identity politics shit at the very least. The modern left is now disowning latinos because many of them aren't voting blue as they like.

It’s because we are effectively a one party state. When you have that level of control, the idea that you have to be responsible is gone because there’s no accountability. 2009 had the Democrats see larger congressional majorities but there was always the Republicans as a threat so they were partially reigned in; that’s no longer the case now. That “threat” has effectively been neutralized now, primarily thanks to demographics.

One thing you're leaving out--the odds of getting COVID. Even if the odds of me dying of the vaccine are better than the odds of me dying of COVID, there is no guarantee I will ever get COVID. I have lived over 3 decades and never got the flu.
If you factor in that, the odds of me dying or having an adverse, maybe life altering reaction to the vaccine are probably worse.
