Prescribed chest reduction is exceedingly rare and all other surgeries like enlargement and facial are almost always considered to be cosmetic and thus elective, so it's not something "cis" people "just do". Jeebus, all these kids have absolutely no idea how the world works.

I do not know when the original post was made, but I do note it is now against policy/best practices to treat precocious puberty with GnRH agonists.

There have been whispers of several (quite obviously unnamed) cases where the projected second "real" puberty never occurred, and the stopped puberty was the only one the child was going to have.

I also tangentially note that precocious puberty is almost never treated in boys, and a lot of boys just have to deal with being made fun of for pubic hair, NRBs and voice breaking.

I was about to say the same thing - that treating precocious puberty with blockers was a real last-ditch effort these days. They are very likely to create severe health issues down the road - not just limited to the stuff we're seeing in the US re: Lupron.

I would disagree that mental illness is always due to external factors. Some disorders, especially psychotic disorders, have a strong tendency to run in families. With dysphoria though, I think many of the people who suffered from it before the trans movement gained steam probably didn't choose to have it, it was indeed just something they were born with. But that doesn't mean we should give them physical treatments and surgeries in an attempt to relieve them of their illness, we should be treating it as a mental health issue and not as a chance for medical experimentation.

If that's the case, where are all the milions with gender dysphoria across history? Or all the ones in different countries, as there are countries with basically none. Also, I might be wrong but when a mental illness runs in the family, it means they have a higher chance to get is as they get older, not that they are literally born with the mental illness itself, it's not really a genetic thing or anything.

The reason to treat precocious puberty in girls is because a 7 year old with a developing body is going to be sexualized by those around her, and potentially also start experiencing sexual desires herself, which is not great. Certainly the outcomes of GnRH agonists have been bad, but the reasoning was understandable.

I asked one of these allegedly intersex people as to why they think they're intersex. After a lot of prodding, they admitted that they thought they were intersex because they had a "small" penis of about 5.5 inches. I told him that this was a statistically normal penis size and he replied that he only ever saw penises in porn.
