i feel like we do not no much about gator at all. i read this thread and details are not fully confirmed and some are vague or conjecture (not with evidence i hope this is the right word)

I am trying to think of another example of CRP lying, but there are so many strange lies he has told over the years I can't pick one specific example. If this is what he was claiming, my guess the reality is the exact opposite happened.

Shannon, if nothing else, is good at maintaining his anonymity. I would bet that this is what informed his decision to not get drunk around a bunch of idiots with go-pros. He got his fight footage and he left, he's clearly not a charismatic guy so I would assume he doesn't do well in those social settings anyway. I don't rule it out but I always think that CRP has a skewed view of events/revisionist history for his personal narrative. I'm not siding with anyone but I think CRP is quite capable of forming a bullshit narrative and that's simply what it is: bullshit. There may be a shred of truth to some things he's saying but Gonzalo is an unreliable narrator and everyone else was so fucked up drugs and liquor that the only clear picture we can ever get is the film footage we've seen and the faggoty talks about footage we haven't because nobody will release them (if they even exist).

On the face of it, it really doesn't make much difference because whatever anyone may think, Gator DID put himself on display regardless. Whatever he thought good he would accomplish by this, who knows. I dunno, I'm trying to think of a single time when Gonzalo ended up being vindicated. I can't think of one, he's consistently found to be full of shit on almost everything. As much as I would love it to be true, I don't think Gator just sat outside the bar waiting for the Gunt to come and find him. Plus, despite seeing what Gator looks like - we actually don't know who he is, so despite making a complete clown of himself Gator did successfully hide his identity during the trip.

This would be more difficult if he was filmed interacting with others while drunk, they might call him by his first name, or he might let slip pertinent information about himself that would allow people to narrow down where he is even further.
