Back in my day, Eleanor Bumpeurs was the motive to start police brutality riots to the point when Spike Lee made a movie about said riots. It was called Do The Right Thing.

Welp, I thought we wouldn't see things pop off until the trial verdict but this is good enough to get the rioting going again.

Last night was mostly looting and general lawlessness. Expecting arson as soon as tonight once people realize it's a free-for-all again. Give a couple of days for the out of area guys to come in and stir up shit.

I really feel for all the business in the area. Being burned to the ground twice in a year is going to make insurance skyrocket. Along with Covid, many will just give up. It's going to force people to shop at whatever big chain is left and is going to cause good innocent people to lose their jobs.

I'm doing my part. I'm fighting back. I haven't paid my parking tickets and refuse to pay my library fines.

Fan fact of the day. Here's a map of the Twin Cities area and its immediate periphery pulled from Zillow. The area in brown is the approximate area where the majority of the rioting and unrest has been isolated to. The red dots represent houses for sale priced at more than $500k. Take from that what you will.

The north side of the cities has always been the relatively poorer half. Really, it's just going to keep driving people with higher incomes to the Southern half of the metro where more money appears to be, and leave the top to just rot on it's own burnt out carcass.

It's sweet and sugary, they can only handle booze that's flavorless like vodka or sweet syrup.
Anything that has complex flavors or bitter notes they can't handle.
Why do you think it became a rapper thing where they'd mix fine French cognac (to appear rich) with soda? They need that sugary sweetness to be able to drink it.
