I guess, but a part of me thinks it makes things worse as it makes her and the department look worse than it should.
In a non clown world she admits it, she's punished, and a settlement is paid out, and the country doesn't burn and his death doesn't get used as a political bludgeon.

Indeed, Russia has been stagnating for like a decade now? It hasn't really gotten worse (that's not saying much) but it hasn't gotten better either. The sanctions and (more so) cheap oil/gas straight-up retarded the economy. I think Russia will still be there in 50 years, but it ain't gonna be up to Western standards by that time barring some totally insane developments where the Middle East gets nuked and they become the #1 energy producer in all the old world.

Nobody should be surprised by this as this is exactly what happened with Obama’s infrastructure bill. $800 billion in shovel ready jobs was the sales pitch for Obama’s stimulus but almost all of it went to social justice boondoggles and other black holes that nobody could ever verify where the funding went.
I was in the infrastructure industry at the time and one of the cities I worked with was initially “promised” a few bridge replacements, a couple major road widenings, and some 19th century-era sewer replacement. Their hopes were dashed as they lost funding for all of it except a couple blocks of sewer separation and some hot patch for potholes. Meanwhile a community college nearby received more funding than what was given to the city for infrastructure so niggers could get more healthcare industry training.
I am amused at how they are trying to pretend it is 2009 again - it seems like they really are trying to LARP as Obama’s presidency. Only change is the dollar amounts are much higher this time because our dollar is effectively worthless.
