Judge's official instructions to the jury: "You are to disregard this witness' entire testimony and background"
If only.

I'm actually getting angry listening. I'm astounded at how Nelson's handling it and not getting rattled. Literally every. Single. Fucking. Answer. is just an evasive and abrasive response. Every. Single. One.

I started typing some hypotheticals here, but the reality just beats it down. Did anyone else catch the brief thing from Stoughton where he sounds like Porky Pig? "dididididab"?

But fucking seriously; I want to say there's been maybe two total answers where this fucker's actually given an affirmative or negative answer without adding unnecessary elaboration.

Let's see... Jew. Academic. Law background. WaPo op-ed? This motherfucker gets to move to the front of the line for a "good start".

I am not sure how strong all these expert witnesses are supposed to be for the prosecution. They can't seem to agree on the mechanism of death, on the policies and practices of the Minneapolis police, and now the basics of use-of-force.
That's not an uncommon thing, the nature of the system makes expert testimonies a little disjointed and focused on their specific areas of expertise, as in they're kept in line to comment on what they're experts at rather than go off at length uncontested about the case as a whole, which is a benefit of the system rather than a downside. It means and is meant so experts serve to convey information, not dictate verdicts to the jury

Either way, the issues with experts (and witnesses in general) failing to make an impact (and that's still an open question imo) is less to do with them and more to do with the prosecution

its lunacy. even if you don't think chauvin is innocent, you have to agree the defence have an argument and are making it coherently enough.
That reddit post is some serious cognitive dissonance playing out in real time.

At least people here recognized when Nelson was worn out near the end of last week, these soy fucks will overtly lie just to feel better about prosecution getting btfo.

Just imagine for a moment if Stoughton was a cop on the beat. Imagine if he was Chauvin's partner. Imagine him and Chauvin come to your house to take your statement regarding a burglary or some shit.

You wouldn't even look at this guy. You wouldn't notice him. Chauvin would take the statement and probably put you at ease while this guy autistically looks at your ornaments.

Imagine he and Chauvin had to take down a rapist of a certain humanoid subspecies from a certain primitive continent. He would just stand there, Chauvin would have to do it all.

This guy is standing in judgement on Derek Chauvin. He is making thousands of dollars for it.

He isn't worth one millionth of a Chauvin. How many people has Chauvin helped throughout his career? I don't even like cops but there's got to be closing in on a hundred at least.

Fuck this noise.
