A few minutes ago, Fandom demoted from Wookieepedia adminship—and then globally banned—two users: Darth Culator & Toprawa and Ralltiir.

While Fandom does not typically talk about blocks with third parties, we feel it is important to explain this decision to the Wookieepedia community due to how this decision came about and the impact it will have on Wookieepedia moving forward.

Over the last week, Wookieepedia has been part of a larger social media conversation that has resurfaced a number of concerns regarding how the community was being managed. A wide range of individuals—wiki editors and former wiki editors included—informed us that both users have been contributing to a long-simmering culture of bullying and intimidation on our platform. Multiple examples of those users acting in a counterproductive and offensive way were reported to us. After reviewing these conversations, we decided to take necessary action.

Among the individuals who spoke out were well-respected administrators of Wookieepedia. To respect their privacy, we will not be identifying them; however we can confirm that a majority of remaining administrators are in support of this action, and specifically asked us to get involved. They have also asked that we protect this post from further replies, but I am certain the admins will be addressing the community further soon.

Fandom upholds three key values: We Serve a Global Community, We Build Experiences, and We Bring Joy. We are committed to working with the Wookieepedia admins and the community at large to ensure these values are upheld.

I do want to encourage you, as a community, that Star Wars belongs to you as much as it does to any admin or any staff member. You are empowered to be a voice of positive change as much as any other editor reading this. Participate in civil but honest discussions about other changes you want to see on Wookieepedia to build a positive culture.

It seems a bunch of users "informed" the Staff that these two were supposedly bullies. Culator afaik mostly got a bad reputation for making a joke article on breasts which pissed off a shit ton of people on Wookieepedia and on nerd sites for being "sexist".

Some Wookieepedos are looking to start their own wikis, with one group wanting to make one because Wookieepedia still has too many transphobes in their eyes (apparently this one is called Wicketpedia) while the other wants to start a wiki to stick it to Fandom (no idea what they're gonna call themselves).

Documenting legitimate cut content for a video game or an obscure easter egg that no one else documented just gets my post removed on most fandom sites and account banned for "trolling" when theres a literal wing ding easter egg in a older star wars game if you look to the left in the armory.
