I've heard numbers ranging from as "high" as 2% to 0.1% to 0.01%, to, in young, physically fit people, infinitesimal. I think people who less than 40 would suffer more illness from the vaccine than the virus.

Towels are basically radioactive when used properly at the gym, and using them properly means neurotically cleaning the equipment so they don't come into contact with anyone else's sweat or germs, storing them in a separate area from your other gym stuff, and washing them separately from anything. Yes even if it's just a sweat towel for your face.

A cloth mask is probably dirtier than a towel, but even if it's just comparable you would destroy it before you would get it clean.

The latest bullshit from the county I live in. STILL not getting the vaccine. Some old guy I know got the J&J yesterday. Bet he doesn't feel any too good about getting it today. An aggravation I sure am not suffering. 👍

NO SIGN OF SURGE AS COUNTY MOVES CLOSER TO YELLOW TIER

• Health department suspends administration of J&J vaccine

While some parts of the United States are experiencing a major surge of new cases of coronavirus among people who haven't been vaccinated, there's no sign of a significant increase in California or Monterey County, according to the latest data from the California Department of Public Health and the Monterey County health department.

This morning the county health department said there had been 171 new cases among county residents over the past 7 days — seemingly a noteworthy increase over the 104 cases reported for the week ending April 6. But on Saturday the CDPH said a big chunk of this week's cases actually occurred in January and March and were added this week merely to correct the total.(Doesn't matter, since it's past January 20. - JS)

Meanwhile, the CDPH lowered Monterey County's tier score to 3.2 from last week's 3.5, bringing the county a bit closer to the Yellow Tier — the last one before almost all pandemic-related restrictions are ended in California, which the governor said last week he expected to happen June 15.(Doesn't count as long as people have to wear masks, and STILL not going to save Newsom from recall. Fuck him, fully. - JS)

The rapid pace of vaccinations in the state and the county is helping us get there. This week about 35,000 vaccinations were administered in Monterey County, with more than 3 million shots given statewide. A setback in the effort announced this morning is the suspension of use of the vaccine made by Johnson & Johnson over concerns about blood clots — a suspension recommended by the CDC and implemented today by the county health department.

Regardless of the pause in the use of the J&J vaccine, there are an increasing number of vaccination opportunities in Monterey County, and effective Thursday, anyone over the age of 16 will be eligible. Please check the county's vaccination web page for the latest.

Welp. I took that one since I heard the least amount of bad news about it; I'm physically active daily so I probably have a minimal risk for this, but it is still disappointing to know there is a possibility my family and job might have just pushed me into an early suicide. They're saying this is only happening in Women so far, which I am not surprised looking at all those reddit posts after the Pfitzer vaccine, but if this complication can happen I think it raises the risk on other theoretical long term catastrophic side effects.

During the waning years of Kamala's second term, before the conservative purges began in earnest and the rise of AOC, there came a time where our First proud POC femoid president needed to appear tough on foreign policy and so for the international crime of not enough pet vaccinations Canadia was invaded. Even though they surrendered before the war began, it was a brutal campaign waged for over 2 years. In the end their 3rd world replacements imported for the task of cleaning up the corpses and rebuilding their society from scratch would soon find woke harmony and subsidized welfare living. The few remaining Canadians are kept in zoos where they are allowed an existence of apologizing for their whiteness and flinging shit at spectators.

Naturally the vaccine survivors fund only applies to people of color with zero outstanding thoughtcrimes not living in a quarantined state or a Canadian territory.

Very Optimistic to think that 1) the Government will not retroactively attempt to protect them 2) side effects like cancer long term will even be tied to the vaccines when so many things in the US (high BF%, bad diets, bad environment) are already causing cancer. If there is an obvious connection to a sudden spike or slow rise in cancer rates and people who had a history of getting vaccinated, which would ultimately be most Americans anyway, they might get a little too uncomfortable at the implications and either attempt to ignore or downplay it.
