Wuhan Coronavirus: Megathread - Got too big

Very Optimistic to think that 1) the Government will not retroactively attempt to protect them 2) side effects like cancer long term will even be tied to the vaccines when so many things in the US (high BF%, bad diets, bad environment) are already causing cancer. If there is an obvious connection to a sudden spike or slow rise in cancer rates and people who had a history of getting vaccinated, which would ultimately be most Americans anyway, they might get a little too uncomfortable at the implications and either attempt to ignore or downplay it.
Ma'am, this is a wendy's drive thru, can I take your order?

Can't believe you forgot 3) tl;dr: Eat, shit and die. (Comma included)

During the waning years of Kamala's second term, before the conservative purges began in earnest and the rise of AOC, there came a time where our First proud POC femoid president needed to appear tough on foreign policy and so for the international crime of not enough pet vaccinations Canadia was invaded. Even though they surrendered before the war began, it was a brutal campaign waged for over 2 years. In the end their 3rd world replacements imported for the task of cleaning up the corpses and rebuilding their society from scratch would soon find woke harmony and subsidized welfare living. The few remaining Canadians are kept in zoos where they are allowed an existence of apologizing for their whiteness and flinging shit at spectators.

Naturally the vaccine survivors fund only applies to people of color with zero outstanding thoughtcrimes not living in a quarantined state or a Canadian territory.
Looks like we're Fallout timeline but vaccines and woke instead of nukes.

Bit concerned for my brother now since he got the J&J shot. He works out regularly and is in good shape but he seems to have inherited his health from our mother's side, which tends to develop some weird shit. All but I think one of my family members has been vaccinated now. This lead to my dad debating on letting me come visit anymore unless I got the vaccine myself. Long story short It took throwing CDC information back at him that stated vaccinated people could be around unvaccinated people; he wouldn't listen to anything else. I know he worries too much about this shit despite how he acts but I wish he'd slow down and listen to himself talk.

Was hoping to get J&J myself if it came down to it but I guess I'll have to worry about it if the time comes. Still no idea if they'll make it mandatory at work and I plan to at least fight it if I don't feel comfortable with it by then (aside from probably medical I don't believe NY has any exemption laws, so I'm assuming I'm fucked). I'm curious if there's some technicality since it doesn't actually prevent anything or, more importantly, is still in its trial stages. I find it very difficult to believe that a company or government can make you chose between being a guinea pig or getting the boot. I'm trying to make peace with the thought of quitting if it comes down to it.

"So what if a very small percentage of people die from the vaccines the vast majority of people are fine"

Uh this is true of Covid as well. If that's the logic we're operating on why are their masks or restrictions at all?
Don't forget the part where they believe 500,000+ people dropped dead thanks to this flu, and that not counting age, co-morbidities, and car accidents towards that tally isn't fair. They're looking at 6 vs 500,000 and that's it.

So the J&J vaccine is causing problems (as the doubters predicted) and the CDC says that you don't have to wipe down surfaces as it is unlikely to catch COVID from contaminated surfaces, and this is after over a year of being told I was a science denier for not being scared to death.

These fucking people man.

So...what else did they get wrong? Just asking so I can make sure just how annoyed I should be.
My new job has us wearing masks even when there's a sum total of eight people in a large training room. With cubicles extended up top with Plexiglas. We also have to wipe down the desks, armrests, touch screen monitors, and keyboards both when we come in and when we leave. Thank God after 90 days you can put in for work-at-home.

The building as well as the company is so. fucking. anal. about it. There's those little stands everywhere with hand sanitizer, for some reason they shut down the front main revolving door and put plastic sheeting over the buttons in the elevators (because it's super special virus-killing plastic? Don't see a team of people with alcohol and rags going about busily wiping down these surfaces) and there are WEAR YOUR MASK signs everywhere. It's so fucking weird, being back out in the world and it's like this. No wonder everyone is so depressed, shit's straight out of some dystopian novel. I hate it.

If you snap and decide to self abort, pls consider taking out a few maskholes with you on your way out. It's the neighborly way to go.

So now that not enough people are rushing to get the jab they can threaten lockdowns and unending suffering again. Wonderful. Emergency powers forever!
Oddly enough, though, Michigan's Governor Whitmer seems more subdued this time around. In the past, a significant increase in COVID cases would almost always mean she'd turn up the restrictions past 11 and do what she could to make even essential jobs and services look as unattractive as possible.

Ever since a parent group filed a lawsuit that seems to have led to Michigan's winter sports being allowed to finally start their season back on 08-Feb (and finish this past weekend), Whitmer seems to have hopped off the "lock it all down" kick she's been on in the past. It was surprising to see that her response to the current increase in COVID numbers was little more than a lukewarm "Please do the right things and be responsible, people. I know we can do it."

There's unconfirmed speculation that Whitmer's subdued tone results from a number of recent lawsuits. The aforementioned parents group filed one at the start of the month to express their objection to the mandatory weekly COVID testing of all spring sport athletes. It's also been claimed that some wrestlers successfully sued their way back into the state tournament after they were removed following positive same-day COVID tests. The latter remains unconfirmed because the mainstream media wouldn't dare publish anything that paints Whitmer in a bad light. However, it makes sense that she would be reluctant to impose new, stricter restrictions if she's seen smaller lawsuits concerning her decision-making be decided in favor of the plaintiffs/complainants.

My aunt is trying to bully my mom into getting the vaccine by threatening to not let her see my grandma unless she gets the vaccine and I am so livid about it. With two of these vaccines causing blood clots now, I would say my mom is right to be worried about getting it and it just disgusts me what my aunt is trying to do. Grandma got the vaccine... going by The Science, wouldn't my mom be the one more aT riSk of getting sick than her?

People like my aunt who think they have the right to bully someone into doing something they don't want to do are infuriating and awful. If someone doesn't want to get the vaccine, for whatever reason, that is their business and their choice to make. Not anyone else's.

I've been against taking any of these vaccines ... My husband, however, has been on the fence about it. He respects my decision to not get it (and respects other people's decisions to not get it), don't get me wrong, but he's been hesitant about whether he should just go get the jab and "get it over with."

Today's news has completely shoved him into the "oh hell no" category now. Haha.

I'm getting the jab this week. Don't try and tell me to get around it-- without powerleveling too much, that's not going to be possible in my situation. With my luck, I'll probably be okay.
Do what you need to do just live well-enough in these times. College is going back to full-time on-campus, so I'll just get 'er done.

Makes the comedy when Fauci and Biden's team conjure up some new regulations even more hilarious.

Regarding the elites' confidence in mRNA vaccines I can't help but think of Elizabeth Holmes and Theranos. In the case of Theranos, the device they were working on didn't make practical sense, but you had a variety of old investors and DoD people thinking this was high tech so it magically would just work without questioning much anything.

With the mRNA vaccines, there's a similar absurd confidence due to its high tech aesthetic. Which differs from J&Js vaccine which is more a traditional vaccine, so the elites are more comfortable declaring it to have major problems since it has that old tech aesthetic.

There's also the idea tossed around that the mRNA vaccines decrease virus by 95% versus the trad vax decreasing it by 50% which would just mean lowering the dangers of the virus to being inconsequential, making it seem fairly lame to those imagining they can make the virus go away completely as though the Nu-Flu is polio. It's frightening for the elites to imagine that there is no choice but for the virus to stick around, especially since they bought into the idea that China is hyper-competent about handling itself (otherwise why ship industries there) and they were the ones that told everyone how dangerous the virus was. Since they've been sold on the idea that cases can go to near zero thanks to China's propaganda, all these major countries are searching for their own way to achieve this result. The mRNA vax ends up looking like the main option to making it a reality.
To be fair, there is promise in mRNA vaccine technology - its just immature and in its infancy.

Theranos was just outright scamming investors.
Johnson and Johnson pulling the vaccine because literally one in a million people got a blood clot reminds me of covid itself, the media screams and tells you to comply or else you're killing grandma (iirc only like 1% of the population has died from covid, maybe less)
Less than 1% of those who get it die.
It hasn't infected 100% of the population, and even then is unlikely to in a single cycle. IIRC its only infected like 25% of the population, though it could be much higher because it spreads so fast and is hard to detect.

No, The Science says that the vaccine only protects you from others who also have the vaccine.

I know your pain, though.

Also, gotta love how all the members of Branch Covidian are livid now that this information wasn't hidden by Science. I mean, sure more women who otherwise might be saved by knowing the warning signs of blood clots might die, but they don't matter in the face of making Science look bad.

It's weird when you read the death numbers from the other two (61m doses with 2200 deaths in the US) that the JJ one is the one being pulled. Just looking at the numbers and the fact that the JJ one is a 1 shot would lead me to choosing that one way ahead of the other two.

Must be some behind the scenes lobbying or something going on since it makes no sense. If they are going to stop the JJ one they should immediately stop the rest.
