He probably was. Everyone in the videos that is wearing an empty plate carrier was also carrying a gun earlier into the march. It looks like they decided to ditch them probably into a car that was traveling with them when they realized the mob was about to start committing crimes. Fatty was still holding onto his though.

Reminds me of the last time that NFAC black militia showed up somewhere with a bunch of painted up airsoft, empty plate carriers and still managed to get a 3 for 1 friendly fire incident. The photos of a black dude carrying what they were trying to pass off as a real g36 (which fucking lol) and tiny fat as shit ghetto rats with shotguns too big for them was hilarious.

That was an ar-15 like thing maybe a ruger that if I remember right had a drum magazine to boot.

Edit: pictures of the NFAC being retards are surprisingly hard to come by. All that shows up is either their leader being a retard, the self shooting or them being massive larping faggots.

The armed group in the Dallas march tonight seems to be called Next Gen Action and they, like the NFAC, are just a grift/cult. They don't need real plates because the leaders will never be fighting against the government and they don't give a shit about their followers. During their marches you can hear chants like "Who's a family? We're a family!" I fully expect BLM-adjacent groups like these to be buying isolated properties in South America or Africa soon and importing a shit ton of Kool-Aid and strychnine.

Trust me, do not get an AK pattern 12 ga. Especially not a 500 dollar one. For that matter avoid AR pattern ones as well. They jam, they shoot like shit, and the piston system just gets dirty as fuck from carbon buildup

Your best bet is a pump action like a remmington 870, or a mossberg 500.
Make sure whichever you get has a chamber capable of handling 3in magnum 12ga. Shells. It can still shoot the standard shells too, but when you need the extra omph to drop something big and belligerent a magnum slug is a good choice.

Depending on your state a mossberg 590 shockwave may actually be your best option, because by ATF ruling a shockwave is legally classified as a "firearm" and not a "shotgun" or "Short Barreled Shotgun"
this distinction is important because while it is illegal in most states to have a loaded "shotgun" in your vehicle, even with a carry license, that doesn't apply to to "firearms" like the shockwave.
