Nexpo/YT Horror Channels - Do they all suck

A story channel I occasionally listen to sometimes uploads animations and they're so, uh, bad. I don't wanna be too hard on the guy who does them because I at least like the cheesy cryptkeeper style intro/outro, but man watching these PS2 models shift from one stock animation into another is the furthest from horror you can get.

Nexpo is specifically cringe for me. That 45min long documentary about an obviously schizophrenic woman he posted in october comes to mind. MamaMax was the first one to implement kinda unique (back then) atmosphere and visual effects to the video but ruins it by oversaturating videos about very serious topics with video game references and edgy acting.

I still think Scare Theater makes good content for the most part but he's said very retarded shit before (defending 11 year old drag queens). The channel Horror Stories isn't active anymore but he's the only big one that seriously posts about extremely morbid things currently.

Simon Whistler recently started yet another channel called The Casual Criminalist, a podcast that they also post as videos, and it's honestly been pretty good. Obviously just covers murders and such rather than anything supernatural, but it makes good background noise. Simon can't stay on script to save his life though.

For me I've never thought about Nexpo's voice changing, but I pretty much shut off any of his videos the moment he shows his face or does a live action skit about the subject.

I dunno if it started with the Ben Drowned video, but thats the one that stuck with me as the turning point. I passively listen to music or videos while I play games or work, so longform video essays are the perfect thing to listen to. I remember I was going through nexpos library while playing minecraft, and when it got to Ben Drowned, a couple minutes in I realized I was listening to some irl creepypasta larp wankery and shut it off.

I've found Nexpo's shift into long-form, heavily edited content pretty irritating, seeing that the reason I switched over to him from NightMind was because I found NightMind's content a slog to get through. He'd spend an hour on something he could cover in 10 minutes if his ego wasn't so enlarged. I watched and enjoyed Nexpo's latest Disturbing Things from Around the Internet, felt like a return to form, but shit where he gets on camera and does a very poor job of acting is painful to watch. It seems all channels of this nature end up heading in that direction.

I mean, watch his video about PseudoScorpion - TL;DR Dark Web (of fucking course, where else could it be from) music album about CP and with samples from CP including "Daisy's Destruction", of fucking course. He has 0 evidence that the thing is real, but his reasoning is "well since people trade CP there, it means it's possible". Ok, I can understand why they do that - they are sick fucks and get-off to it, but music? Why? If they want CP, they can just look for it. It's like claiming "Grifter is real, because scary videos exist out there". He also claims that the author may bought "DD" from Scully for 10k bucks to get samples and that adds to my next point - this shit has next to 0 audience and automatically becomes commercial failure. If this retard wanted to "make a statement" about child rape - well, doing it among actual child rapists is stupid. And of course "no one knows who this guy is" - well, no shit, probably, because he doesn't exist.

It's especially funny if you watch his videos about Deep Dark fantasies Web. Like he says pretty reasonable stuff and I was ready to say "well, at least he knows his shit", when suddenly he said "Go watch Mutahar, that's where I've learned about it".
