Thank you for keeping it respectful. I don't work with trans youth, but that is something somebody said to me.. when i use the term "baby trans" , i'm referring to adults in early transition. I work with the parents of trans kids, but never the kids without the parents for very long. With minors reaching out from unsupportive parents show up in my network's groups, they're advised to get connected to PFLAG for help and to reach out to their school counselor, not self medicate or run away from home.
As far as I know, no ethical practitioner is "cheerleading hormones and mastectomies for kids" The affirmative protocols as i understand them are to simply let the child make their own decisions about grooming, attire, playthings and playmates, to not encourage or discourage them in either direction, simply to let them be themselves and to wait and watch. In order for the child to be prescribed puberty blockers, they must be persistently insistent about their transgender role and consistently presented in that gender role for a number of years before it will be approved.
When a tom boy or femboy has proper pediatric behavioral health care, more often than not, medical transition isn't even a consideration and not nearly all children with acute GD will go the surgical route. Only about 20% of transgender adults do, though considerably more would if there were not financial or health constraints. If I were allowed to socially transition young, i'm feeling like i would have met a trans boy and lived happily ever after, with only HRT to manage the hormone imbalance between my brain and gonads. I'm a very well known underground educator , entertainer and event organizer. People trust me around their children, bringing them to me to learn. Nobody I would care about would even listen to a stranger weave such a sick fiction about me. , much less believe it.
My opinions about the age of consent are solely based around protecting the interests of precocious minor females and the young adult men they couple with. I think the general age of consent should be lowered to 16 and that girls over 14 should be able to apply for a marriage license. Most often, when I describe the "Sabrina Incident" to women of all ages, they will have their own stories of older men they very willingly gave it up to when they were minors.
