The shooter led the police on a chase while exchanging gunfire. Another officer was shot but it was not life threatening. They threw out a tire strip, he tried to run and they shot him ded.

That's one of the most horrific ways to die I can imagine. When you grab a live wire your muscles tense up, so you can't let go. So the whole time you are holding on to something that is flooding agony into your body and you can't let go. It's a long, slow death, you are conscious the entire time, it hurts more than you can possibly imagine, and the whole time you're thinking, "I just need to let go..."
