IMPD responds to mass casualty incident at FedEx facility on Indy’s southwest side

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is investigating after multiple people were wounded in an active shooter event on Indy’s southwest side Thursday night.
The IMPD said the shooting happened in the 8900 block of Mirabel Road. This is the location of a FedEx facility. When officers arrived, they encountered an active shooter incident.
Preliminary information from the department indicates the shooter took his own life.
There were several people injured in the shooting. Others were transported to multiple hospitals. Exact victim information was not readily available as of the time of this report.
Police do not believe there is an ongoing threat as of this time. They are asking anyone with family members that work at the facility that they have not been able to get in contact with to go to the Holiday Inn Express located at 8555 Stansted Drive.
FedEx sent a statement regarding the shooting saying:
“We are aware of the tragic shooting at our FedEx Ground facility near the Indianapolis airport. Safety is our top priority, and our thoughts are with all those who are affected. We are working to gather more information and are cooperating with investigating authorities.”
The Indiana State Police says I-70 was closed in both directions between I-465 and Ronald Reagan Pkwy due to police activity in the area. The interstate has since reopened, but there is no access toAmeriplex Parkway from either direction.
We have a crew on the scene. One of our reporters spoke one of the victim’s family members, who says his niece was in her car when a gunman started shooting at her vehicle.
“She called as I was asleep at home. She said there was a shooting in the FedEx. So we just drove from Brownsburg,” said Parminder Singh, the uncle of one of the victims.
Singh tells us her daughter did not know who the shooter was.

Another man tells us that his wife works in the facility. She texted him to tell him that there was an active shooter at the facility.
“My wife works in there and she texted me to tell me there’s an active shooter and we communicated back and forth for a while, she’s since notified me she’s okay,” said Ian Johnson. “After I communicated with her for a while, then it went silent for a while, so I came here just to see what was going on and she texted me I’m okay.”
Johnson said you never think something lik this might happen, but it always can.

In depth interview with a witness (from WISH-TV):

The Citizen app (the police report app IMPD uses) is reporting 5 dead.

With the rash of everything going on, maybe the glowies are pushing the schizos to make their moves now as it is politically expedient. Rate me paranoid on that but its always mentally ill people who get in contact with glowies and end up doing shit and getting caught after the fact.

What the FBI does to "catch" people before they commit crimes (precrime bullshit) is essentially the plot of Hotline Miami.

Since they haven't said anything about the shoot yet, does that mean the shooter isn't a white male because the media is looking how to make it fit the narrative they want to promote?

Indianapolis is a powderkeg always on the verge of being ready to blow. Warehouses and production plants are currently in a state of flux that's extremely stressful on employees. Places are either slowing down, cutting hours or closing completely...and on the other hand places like Amazon, FedEx and Chewy are quadrupling work without matching pay or benefits. A lot of these workers are temps that are being overworked, under appreciated and dumped as soon as there's a shift in business.

Not to mention the fact Holcomb covered up a death at an Amazon facility to try and win HQ2. What a fucking amazing city I’m glad to call home.

Indianapolis is the store brand version of other states. We've got a little bit of everything but not enough to make national news all that often.

Christ. My relative started working at an Amazon warehouse recently and this could have happened during their shift. I read that Fedex has a policy of no phones allowed during a shift, so the workers couldn't even call for help while trying to get away. I bet they don't allow concealed carry either. These fucking soulless corporations treat everyone like a slave and a child. I don't blame those two guys they interviewed for looking high as fuck.

"Muh assault rifles" incoming.
Yep. It's really frightening too how we never know what will be the flashpoint for major social change til after the fact. Like we didn't see at the time that a randoid 20 year old white supremacist shooting up a black church would cause the destruction of Confederate monuments and the Confederate flag becoming the swastika to normies. Or a high as balls black guy trying to pass a fake 20 and dying triggering a year of riots, mobs, looting, and "national conversation on race" virtue signaling by everyone including your workplace.

Gonna be really pissed if they're confiscating guns in 6 months because of Harold and Kumar's hot take...

Probably want to confirm it’s a white guy this time. They’re still mad that the grocery store massacre was by a Muslim.
Yeah, that got memory-holed quick. They're still pushing the "muh Asian hate" from Georgia despite the fact that the victims were just glorified hookers and the perp just an unhappy coomer who had no beef with Asian people specifically.

The Bryan shooting kind of fizzled out too. Guess the gun involved wasn't the one that lawmakers don't like.

A witness claims it was "a man with a submachine gun of some sort, an automatic rifle, and he was firing in the open." So the perp may have used some kind of AR pistol.

WIBC radio has been reporting on it as info comes in. https://www.wibc.com/

Indy councilwoman Ali Brown (D) has already tried to politicize the shooting to make anti-gun statements in the dumbest way possible.

As for Indiana's governor, Eric Holcomb, remember that he allowed Antifa's goon squad into the capital city of the state he's in charge of, and later met with Malik Muhammed as if he's people.
