That is the funny thing about this new Lindsay's vid, it is a struggle session, but at the same time it isn't.
I mean, it is a given that Ellis wasn't gonna drop to her knees and ask for forgivness, queen bee wino ain't gonna stand for that, so she made a two hours long video to tell everybody how much she doesn't give a shit about being canceled, and overall her overwhelming need to have the last word in the matter, you can't outsmart Lindsay Ellis.
But at the same time, Ellis did the same thing people do on these virtual struggle sessions, overlong videos, with a exasperated speaker, oversharing their own struggles and traumas in order to gather some sympathy scraps from the mob, and here and there Lindsay did say she was sorry for some of her behaviour.
That is why her final claims of being "over and done" with this whole cancel culture thing sounds hollow, because if she really didn't care, she wouldn't make a 2 hour long video looking like she just aged 10 years since last month.
Ellis might not have said "sorry" out loud, but she did undergo the ringer that these social puritans demand, and in a unintentional way, showed more of her back than she intended.

I would absolutely bet that Lindsay made up any rape story, or at least exaggerated it to make her the victim. She already had it out for Doug anyway, the ChangeTheChannel drama had her completely throw Doug and company (even if she wasn't attacking Doug personally) under the bus despite the fact that they helped make her an e-celeb.
Hell, probably the worse thing they did during that time to her was ask her to read off a script while she and her "co-workers" ran around in a public park wearing silly costumes.

I could buy that she's trying to use humor to get past her trauma, I'm assuming she's gonna say that's the point of the rape rap vid I don't know I haven't gotten that far yet, if it weren't that it comes off so fucking phony with the VHS effect, buzzer and fucking ending it with the police violence shit. Plus there the fact that she got rid of almost every piece of identifiable evidence possible for people to verify what she's saying other than some involvement in an alleged criminal rape case in 2004.

I forgot to add this. I'm not a smart man, as made clear by my number of posts, so I like watching things I think are smart. I like watching a channel on youtube called JCS - Criminal Psychology. He reviews real police interview/interrogation films and talks about the methods cops use when questioning and how suspects react. One thing that seems to always come up is how people who are lying tend to add in irrelevant facts or details to their story to make them more believable. Again, I'm not a smart man nor am I anywhere near this field and I might be biased because I don't care for Lindsay but this story of hers has that same weirdness to me. Y'all be the judge.
I seriously can not take this story at face value without some actual names and evidence. People need to get out of the mindset that someone faking a rape story is “beyond the pale” and that no one could ever stoop to that level. Also, it sure feels like the most coincidental of coincidences that she’s kept this story hidden for years only to spill it when her popularity is in jeopardy, and that this sudden revelation of her being a rape victim retroactively makes Doug Walker look even worse for forcing her to do a joke related to rape. Kind of odd that she didn’t reveal that detail during the Change The Channel debacle right? Wouldn’t that have been extremely relevant to the discussion at hand?
