True, but I think what explains his current choices about his appearance is that Chibi is trying to emulate the fashion choices of others in a (very poor) attempt to fit in with an internet crowd that he wants positive attention from. This is just a guess, but if the collar didn't get him that kind of attention then he might have dropped it on his own. If he's even capable of picking up on that kind of thing, I think that would mean he has some - even if very limited - social intelligence that a genuinely autistic person wouldn't have.

A true and honest autistic man has to just be told in no uncertain terms, "quit it, you're embarrassing yourself, and I'm not giving you an option" before they drop awkward behavior that they've latched onto. Even then they only stop doing it because they were told to, but they aren't really going to understand why it was embarrassing.

However, I'm not sure we're ever going to get a definitive answer for Chibi, and I think we could go round and round for a long time looking for other things that point towards genuine autism or his poor upbringing as the source of Chibi's uncanny ability to make an ass out of himself in public.

And im not saying that chibi is autistic or not, i have no idea, but if he is it just seems to affect him socially because ive watched some streams of his from years ago, and he seems like he all there mentally with how he speaks. He just has a horrible decision making ability, which im not sure if its a sign of autism or not.

Psycho-analysis Gay Theory incoming but hear me out:
Having skimmed over this thread in the past few days, it feels like less of autism making him awkward directly, and more him gradually building and putting up this persona for his streams and online public presence, this amalgamate of different content creators he's watched and liked, and as time went he let this persona overtake his actual self somewhat, which would be why he often acts out or strange even publicly now. Not in a "Dr. Jekyll overtaken by Mr. Hyde" sense, but more as him letting himself hide behind this public persona, convincing himself that "that's not me, so this hate and criticism is invalid, they're just assholes", blind to the fact that it is him now.

We see him behave like a creepy socially deaf little shit a lot in real life and in private encounters, and then revert to "uwu soft boy and emotionally vulnerable but also quirky and energetic and suuuuuuper innocent but playfully flirty!" on social media on his own time. This points to him dropping his persona when he tries to get someone to like him on a personal level. We've seem the results.
Whenever he's confronting any opposition or personal issue he pretends like he's so above the issue that he's just responding out of decency, and then turns around and whines to his Discord server. Then when it all builds up he has a pity-party blowout on Twitter and reaps sympathy points.

He made a shell painted with rainbows to protect himself from the first blows life dealt him, and since the shell has obvious holes people are peering inside and seeing that he hasn't changed. He's still the exact same dumb little kid in there, he was spending all the time he was supposed to grow and improve himself on polishing his protective shell. His terrible "haha, gocha haters" moments like when he leaked his own nudes just screams of childish lack of awareness for the gravity of the situation. "But it's okay, that's not me!" He would think, hitting the send button on those tweets. "I'm still my usual, sane self! I'm just owning the haters with my fake online persona!" Those moments where he's briefly contemplative might just be that old side of him urging him to notice what's going on, but if he did that, his "progress" would be torn down nearly a decade back. From his perspective right now, he's the streamer that consistently owns the haters who really wanna tear him down, he's a strong independent creator with perhaps inadequate studies but with a solid-gold online persona. He thinks he's fooled the world with his clever trick.

And the only person he's fooling with it is himself.

Here's my list of reasons why Chibi stopped wearing that dapper dark energy moon collar:
1) He broke it. Some of you more observant spergs may have noticed that in his noodz he was wearing the collar/bone pendant around his wrist, possibly because he snapped it and the length was shortened.
2) His mom confiscated it either because she was sick of the embarrassment of it, or to punish Chibi for doing some autistic shit on the level of turning up to her dates in cosplay.
3) A girl he was interested in outright told him that it looked weird/dumb.
4) The fukken mongoloid simply lost it.

This guy has been streaming for what, the better part of a decade, and he still cannot stop himself from being drawn into utter stream killing, energy zapping debates with chat. These aren't even paying subscribers. He just can't help himself from having to prove he is the biggest mclarge hugest ally, even when it kills his mood and brings his streams to a full awkward crash. Then afterwards he's visibly angry, annoyed and obviously low energy for the remaining hour of the stream. How is he still so awful at just the basics.
Then when he loses the the Yugioh tournament at the end he gets even more pissy and throws bad vibes about how he never cared and hes just glad the game is over so he can never be tortured by it again. Like wtf!? Most streamers would try to put a funny or positive spin on losing, or really anything that is entertaining and not fucking depressing, uncomfortable and makes you want to watch anyone else.
Chibi if you're reading this...HOW ARE YOU STILL THIS BAD AT STREAMING!!?? My man, I'm genuinely pulling for you. Just like with the programming, and being the #1 ally, you need to stop forcing it and move on. Seriously try to find your actual calling, or at least something you can tolerate, and reset your professional life around that. This isn't working. Good luck. I do want you to make it.
