TGWTG Nostalgia Chick / Lindsay Ellis / TheDudette - aka Hotdogs in face girl

You're the one conflating the two. Black slang woke means being socially aware of racial injustice and tension. It became a common term because the BLM faggots kept parroting it, and the SJW crowd latched onto it because of course they did. Later, the red pill crowd started associating it with the blue pill meme.
Receipts please, I remember this going down completely differently.

And I care because SJWs care about stolen valor over what skin color invented which word and want to choke a curated vocabulary down my throat, and if they want to talk about cultural appropriation of words, I will feel free to point out that these words black people allegedly own were absolutely invented by white people and they're the ones culturally appropriating words from Caucasians. Telling me what words I can and cannot use is fucking annoying and I will nitpick it to death in retaliation.

On that point, regardless of whether she was really raped or exaggerated, bringing it up is in really bad taste and a transparent attempt at shirking responsibility. She could've easily kept it vague.
I agree with this in particular. Addressing this should have been its own piece because, as part of the video in question, it comes off as an attempt to supplant the topic at hand. For a lot of people who have experienced sexual violence, the worst part is how well-meaning people socially pressure into acting traumatized. Then, there's this loop of playing the part which feeds into the trauma they already feel and, in some cases, it can be like "somebody did something partially out of their desire to ruin my life and now I'm actively helping them do it." So, a lot of people take this very cavalier attitude for their own sake and even turn to humor. Not the way to go for some people, but definitely a healthier route for others.

Making that it's own video and exploring the nuances: what was therapeutic about it, what went wrong, what does it mean, all cached within a personal narrative for the sake of understanding this incredibly complicated and varied issue? Yes.

Including it in a piece created solely to address fuck ups en masse and cap it off with a "how dare you" tone? No. Especially when it's within the realm of something that we can imagine her being critical of.

Also Todd told Lindsay's detractors to "Gargle his Balls" now given he thinks we're almost exclusively CIS Gender White Christian Heterosexual Men, he's either a homophobe who believes homosexual acts are disgusting or that his balls are disgusting if the latter I'll take his word on it.

What if said detractors don't want to gargle your balls, Todd? Sounds like rape talk to me! When will Lindsey address these bold claims made in her support?

So, did anyone have the time to actually go through this, document her points and the likes? Because as God as my witness, I refuse, but would happily commend any other brave Kiwi that had the poor sense of judgment to indulge this nutty video.
I'm sure some TV Tropes sperg is writing some kind of (very biased) summary as we speak.

Also she says the Rape rap was uploaded without her "consent". She says that she never uploaded her videos, someone from Channel Awesome did it for her. But why not JUST DON'T FUCKING UPLOAD IT? What's wrong with just keeping the file in your PC and if you think one of your friends might find it funny show it to them from your PC.
To my knowledge she set her software to automatically put things in a shared upload folder after it renders, which is stupid because what do you do in the case of a mistake? Unpublish and republish?

It was so associated with the movement, they made a documentary about it with the name: https://m.imdb.com/title/tt5730596/

And here's a NYT article from 1962 talking about it as 'negro slang.'

I'm not saying you can't use the word, but arguing against the single legitimate point she made is pointless.

I haven't read the whole thread (sue me), is there more info on the mara Wilson thing?

Whether she was really raped is irrelevant. Most victims never come out or report. The bullshit of "most rape victims i know", most rape victims just don't tell you, you dumb fuck. Most rape victims act like your average women because guess what, the average woman has a pretty good chance of being a rape victim.

You're just revealing you're not very close to many women.

On that point, regardless of whether she was really raped or exaggerated, bringing it up is in really bad taste and a transparent attempt at shirking responsibility. She could've easily kept it vague.

Also her makeup has always been fairly bad but this is the worst it has been in a while. Eyeshadow unblended, cakey mismatched foundation, no attempts at creating dimension. She went to film school she should know camera makeup. Her hair also seems to be thinning?

Ps. The abortion sperging in this thread is pathetic. We get it, you have never felt a woman's touch. There's other stuff to harp on.
That's the most female shit I've read in a while.
And I just watched Lindsay's video.
