Ran across a comment that I snipped a portion of on another site. One example of something I'd like to print out and scatter around the city.

There will ALWAYS be some people who have it and there will always be flu and other diseases, and that will be the excuse to NEVER return to a life where people can pursue happiness as before (concerts/live theater/live events) because people gathering is dangerous to socialism unless they are gathering for a socialist cause. To gather in large groups where exchanges of ideas can take place is seen as dangerous because in today's neo-liberal world only one ideology is correct and only one ideology is allowed for people to discuss.

Oh that's simple, they're making it where if a loved one died while COVID positive then you can get money from FEMA. I'm sure the hospital or whatever that handled their end of life care will get a kickback too.

It's just grift. That's what this whole thing has been about the whole time. Bilking the country of money.

From what I've gathered the vaccine is a bad idea because:

1) Immune overreactions on later exposure. Previous attempts over the last 20-30 years to create a coronavirus vaccine failed because animals when given early trial vaccines they were fine, but when later exposed to the virus in the wild the resulting overreaction by the immune system severely impacted or killed the animal. Similar results happened in different trials later in humans and attempts to create corona vaccines were abandoned. This problem was never overcome... and some experts are warning that it will start happening with these emergency covid vaccines soon enough. Good luck vaccine lab subjects!

2) Possible auto-immune source: We also know that the moderna mRNA one is particularly bad because the spike protein they used is also found in several different tissues naturally in the body. There is speculation this may be a possible explanation why previous vaccines failed because later exposure to coronaviruses (not exclusively covid but all of them) can trigger a cytokine storm and result in the immune system attacking tissues and organs. But there isn't enough research done yet to know for sure. Good luck vaccine lab subjects!

3) Not worth the risk. The mortality rate of covid19 for the majority of the population is so low that the risks of a vaccine aren't worth it. Vaccines that don't stop the spread, and don't reduce the symptoms better than current therapeutics. Good luck vaccine lab subjects!

The Future:
Unfortunately our institutions have lost all credibility and are ignoring the science in favor of partisan politics. I think "variants" will be blamed on what will actually be vaccine related deaths that will start spiking over the summer. I've also heard speculation that there is a coming cyber-infrastructure attack planned to help usher in the next reset, timed to maximize impact with vaccine related deaths.

The next few weeks are going to be interesting. The number of new infections is stagnating, reaching the mid April peak I expected due to seasonality. Normally, I would expect the ICU numbers and deaths to follow with a few weeks delay, but apparently those numbers are also capping off already. I suspect it's because vaccinations helped the risky groups, and the others, well, they are not really in much danger.
So now the Branch Covidians are trying to spin the lowering median age of people in the ICUs as the sign of the end times, but since we don't have proper statistics about the age distribution I think it's because fewer old people are in the ICUs due to the vaccinations, and with ICU numbers capping off it's reasonable to assume that even the evil variants are not significantly more dangerous to younger people (<60 yo).
The next few weeks will show how this is going, and I think a lot of people doing fancy "predictions" are going to eat crow. They predicted ICUs reaching a peak by mid May, but I think the peak will be reached by the end of April latest. Growth rates are definitely decreasing. Branch Covidians on suicide watch.

In other news, I needed some electrical fuses. So I went inwards to the city to go to the one electronics store that was supposed to be left alive, but no, also seems to be dead. So many closed stores, it was depressing. The economic aftermath will be brutal.

In absolute numbers, the country of 3.5 million, wedged between Brazil and Argentina, is registering about 3,000 new cases per day, and 50 daily deaths on average.

And it will be blamed on states like Florida, South Dakota and Texas, and people not wearing masks all day and participating in risky behaviors like seeing family on the holidays.
