Is this our near future? A non-black man confronts a black person about antisocial behavior, it is captured on video, BLM Twitter addict allies activate the mob, truth and common sense cease to matter, institutions cave to the mob (?) and punish the non-black man. The mob is emboldened and some may start to seek out or engineer such confrontations. With enough cycles, radlib types who themselves live in homogeneous neighborhoods will become absolutely convinced that stats are lies and actually, bipoc never crime, so any news of this type must be white male bad again.

Are there historical parallels to this kind of mob mania where one side is suddenly not allowed to defend itself and is always wrong no matter what? It’s surprising to see how quickly this has gained a foothold. Where in the country is this least likely to happen?

RE: the army dude and the neighbor BS

it's official. avoid black people.

This is why I always say call the police instead of trying to handle shit yourself. If he would have dialed from the safety and anonymity of his home, and just waited for the police to come and figure out who this person was and take care of it, he and his family would be sleeping safe and sound in their own beds tonight. Don't engage with strange negroes if you are white, and if you live in a place where that is not feasible, you need to get a body cam or dash cam depending on how you get around.

If you vote for the Democrats then you're voting for this.

They criminalized calling 911 on minorities if they do not seem to be commiting crimes. Such in this scenario, you are fucked.

Plus this type of call is probably priority 3 meaning the cop will roll by in about an hour.

Play this over and over and OVER. This describes the current state of the Black community and race politics.
In 2021 this episode is literally prophetic. Amusingly, R Kelly was outed as an even bigger perverted sicko than his trial showed. Literally enslaving underaged women, multiple instances of statutory rape, abuse, ect. Wonder what finally went off the rails for him to get cancelled for good?

Oh well, Jay Z and Killer Mike literally brag about selling crack and coke to their own communities yet they are help up as demigods in the community.

Well they didn't do that everywhere, plus I was under the impression that the black guy was known to the people on that street as someone who had previously come around pestering people and doing shady shit. In that case, even if this was an area with such a law, it would be a wholly justified call.

Portland police fatally shot someone and Dustin Fiera is there to let everyone know how angry he is to be trapped in a wheelchair

The good news is that it was a white guy on drugs who was killed so they'll probably just go home.

If a person cannot hold responsibility for their own actions:

1. They cannot enter into contracts.
2. They cannot have rights by any sane definition of the term. Rights are conferred via responsibility and vice versa.
3. They are someone else's ward, meaning whoever holds wardship of this person can nearly-completely dictate their lives as this entity with wardship over the black person is LEGALLY LIABLE for things their ward does.

So they're making a case for what could effectively amount to life imprisonment and slavery, with little real recourse.
> Black people unironically pining for slavery

A thought occurred to me. Are the riots and general civil unrest worse than the (late) 60's or is it just amplified by all the cameras and there's nothing really unique about whats happening in Portland.
What's happening in Portland isn't even unusual for Portland. This is the city that rioted when Bush visited, then rioted again when Obama visited.
