Also the reason she's so bitter rits because ever since she uploaded her first rap battle of akademi the Fandom has been a bitch being like "UPLOAD NEW RAP YANSIM BATTLE" being spammed into her comment section.
Even if it fails and she cancels the series forever, that still won’t stop kids from leaving comments. The description of that video even says “I gave multiple chances to revive this series”. Has she pulled this stunt before?

And also when you try pleasing your audience too much. This is exactly what Alex tried to do with Lunar Scythe.

To be honest I'm sure if she cloud go back in time she would tell her past self to not even bother working for him.
I am not so sure. I was looking at the people who are stupidly loyal to Alex and was always getting the feeling that they are even bigger losers than him. Cleveland - fat neckbeard who's older than Alex. Mulberry - has been drawing in the same style for years, didn't improve, traces. Lawless - voiced some minor games and her best shot yet is, well, Yandere Simulator and I've never heard some bystander saying that YS has good voice acting. Hell, this can be said about all of them - their best shot at life is a meme-game that is never going to be released. I hope they chose Alex not for some different way more sleazy reason.

Furthermore, if she deletes that video, how will they know that the series was canceled? Will she make another one, where she says "it's your fault there will be no new rap-battles"?

I don't know. I only remember, that the author of DDLC had one artist, but then they had some disagreements and he just hired another one, who was with the team till the release. Also, calling someone out on "ripping someone off" while defending YS is hilarious at best and hypocritical at worst. Damn, art in this video is ugly.

First things first, for some reason (I'm looking at you, Romel) people think, that Alex nagged Mike with his Lunar Scythe v-slice-alpha-prototype, but that's not true and you can guess it from the chat alone.

And so on. Lunar Scythe looks more like a beat-em-up or slasher and I think, Mike Z could've told one from the other. Also, if they indeed were talking about Lunar Scythe, then the dates make no sense - this chat is dated November 20, 2013, but Alex made a thread about Lunar Scythe on SkullGirls forum on January 5, 2014 and then posted gameplay on a separate channel a day later. Why would he do this two months after Mike Z "trashed his game"?

Furthermore, one little thread from /v/ made on November 12, 2013 suddenly makes much more sence.

You're asking for too much. They can't even see inconsistencies in Alex's statements:

- I partner with TinyBuild, they will help me finish YS!
- TB's programmer converted code to C#!
- TB's programmer moved game code to new Unity version!
- On Discord: FUCKING CODER USES this. I CAN'T UNDERSTAND SHIT!
- Months of silence about his deal with TB.
- Then uploads a new video and deletes all the questions about his deal with TB in comment section.
- After some pressure admits that the deal was dead for months "because of the lack of cooperation", even though TB stated that he had 100% of creative control (BIG MISTAKE).
- Multiple times after that states "I can do game without their help", implying that deal was all about production assistance.
- Some time later his mail is hacked and turns out that he wanted TB to unban his game on Twitch and deal with trolls.
- FUCKING ADMITS THAT HE WANTED THEM TO DO THAT FROM DAY ONE!

If you can't write good code the first time, what makes him think he can do it the second time? I've done alot of programming, when I write prototypes I at least try to maintain some sort of quality so I can clean it up later and add to it if need be.
Also, by him saying that he couldn't understand Tineybuild's code means that he isn't a good programmer, since all good programmers need to be able to understand other peoples code. It's not as if there wasn't even any documentation or anything - he could have just asked the Tinybuild developer for explanations for any archane code he might have written.

I like how he says on the faq that his game is "extremely complex" - if he has the experience working with very complex code, then he should have the skills to understand what the Tinybuild developer was changing.

I think that if he spent less time on the Discord and Reddit and more time actually studying code practices he could become a better programmer.
 
i always thought game dev (with a single developer) went like
  • make a dev environment
  • test the gameplay mechanics you want with default unity/test characters
  • add npc mechanics and interactions
  • add environment
  • make it pretty and fix bugs
any developers out there feel free to correct me. alex seems to just develop on the fly as ideas come to mind. like a kid writing a book.
