I think it might be the fact that, again, she is so close to seeing that she is as much of the problem as the people she bitches about in her "apology" video and makes a lot of the steps towards realizing it, but she never quite has her eureka moment of going "Oh, I'm part of the problem."

It isn't so much that she makes a single, solid, strong point, it is more that she has a few little glimmers of really getting why the culture and people she fellates (maybe sometimes literally, depending on who you ask) are atrocious human beings who will torpedo someone's entire life for saying "nigga" in a joke 20 years ago. I don't think she deserves any slack, but I also feel like if someone says something I agree with, even if they only half understand the point, I can't just sit there and pretend like I don't agree with it. I also wanna clarify this almost exclusively applies to the "apology" video, I'd be pretty hard pressed to find a point where I begrudgingly agree in anything else she has ever said.

Liana had years worth of experience in working in media before she became a youtuber, so she can at least back up her shit and her vids on gaming feminism were at least watchable. Yeah, I vastly prefer Jenny's style of video. She's not smug, she just comes off like she's expressing her opinion surrounded by cutesy plushies, and she only does videos for stuff she was looking forward to, so even the very critical videos are just her being disappointed. She actually seems to care about things, which is a better entry point than Lindsay being above it all.
