The advent of social media and sites like Youtube have been an absolute godsend for law enforcement, background checkers and PI's. They absolutely fucking love how casually people admit their guilt publicly in an easy-to-archive format that (especially in the case of videos) can't easily be refuted later in court. There's actually some concern that investigators focus exclusively on low-hanging fruit like that now because it's so easy to grab (and boost their numbers) and won't bother with more "traditional" investigations as much because they take more effort.

Even with all that preparation and care (I personally think they did a genuinely good job, actually tried their best to get it right and weren't just chasing ratings), there were plenty of instances where men caught in those TCaP stings either didn't get prosecuted at all or ended up being acquitted. It was almost always because of entrapment arguments or disputes about the reliability (and admissibility) of gathered evidence. And in a few cases I think the DAs just decided it wasn't worth prosecuting because there wasn't an actual victim.

I’m an avid TCAP viewer and pretty much every guy caught on the show that waived their right to an attorney before talking to the police was convicted. Maybe I wasn't clear in my earlier post. EDP445 is legitimately, mentally unwell. Just look at how much he revealed about himself through his NFL offseason videos. Being fit would not change his mental health much, imo. He might even feel more entitled to women, and his decaying relationship with his father wouldn't change either. The stress from moving out of his parents' house was like the first domino in his downfall, imo. He had life on easy mode to some extent, but he was doing everything possible to fuck his own shit up.

You also gotta remember, he got himself on a no-fly list, probably over his support of the January 6 storming.
