I hate these fucking ASL clowns but the problem with subtitles is they can be horribly inaccurate and useless. They use the same program court stenographers use and the problem is that its a special type of keyboard that you have to learn to use. It can make a lot of words real fast, but in a live settings its way too hit or miss for something important. But if you can only read handsigns and cant figure out some form of subtitles even if they are wrong, i'm willing to give the benefit of a doubt that you're not worth the time or effort. It's totally a feel good grift. They can pretend they help the poor deaf people and get someone a hopefully barely paying easy job to fill out your diversity quota.
