Anisa grew up in a big ass house, had her own room and privacy even with 4 siblings. She played lacrosse (not a very cheap sport last I checked), had a cell phone and all other normie stuff any other middle or upper middle class family has.
She never needed to pay nor take a loan for school, because her dad paid all that for her. Anisa was far from being poor growing up.
Also it's easy to see through her instagram that money didn't seem like a total issue. She was buying new clothes a lot, even back then. Had her hair done a lot, bought starbucks all the time and even had a personal trainer. She was clearly able to afford more than the average person.
We can't forget some of the expensive gifts Ian got her, like her camera and trip to Australia and her boobs, lol.
Anisa has been able to travel back and forwards between the US and Canada and was even able to afford renting her own apartment in Canada at the time.
Yeah, I can imagine Ian probably putting his foot down when it came to tacky overpriced purses and other stupid shit she wanted. But she was far from struggling when it came to above basic things people need in life.
