ATTENTION MISTRIAL COIN PATRIOTS.
THE SHADOW JUDGE HAS DECLARED MISTRIAL. IN 4 WEEKS THE MILITARY WILL UNSEAL INDICTMENTS ALLOWING THEM TO ARREST GEORGE FLOYD. STORM SEEMS IMMINENT. PREPARE. TRUST THE PLAN.
Oh good I can go back to my grill.

I don't think the prosecution can appeal an acquital. That would be double jeopardy.

Although I'm hearing rumors that federal charges may be applied should that happen.
Correct, a verdict of "Not Guilty" is final, at least from the same entity. That's why jury nullification works. Doesn't matter how strong the state thinks its case is, the jury gets the final say.

He could still be charged federally due to the separate sovereigns doctrine, but it's rare for the fed to actually do so because it's a contested legal issue. I want to say the feds were considering those same charges for the Oklahoma City Bomber if he had ended up being found Not Guilty.
