The nice thing about an appeal is that it won't have nearly the same impact. It's like the page 1 assertion, page 12 retraction. Even if he appeals and gets off, which there is a very real chance will happen, the mob will have moved onto the next outrage of the month by then. Shocked that he was found guilty on all charges and saddened that we won’t get to watch riots.

Honestly, I think there was a lot of pressure on the jury from the threat of more riots and that they would have found some way to fuck the guy over either way. That and Maxine Waters shitting up the airwaves as well.

Derek Chauvin, guilty or not, his life is over. He was a shitty cop involved in a lot of complaints and incidents, and it was probably inevitable that he'd one day go too far and finally face the music. And that day, is today.

They really missed the boat when they didn't get George Zimmerman found guilty, and I suppose they didn't want such a thing ever happening again.
