You forget one thing: CHauvin will be going back to a cell until sentencing. And then there's his sentence. People will be out for him. And they'll brag about it if they do get him.I think the judge effectively gave the Jury the go ahead to just punt it to appeals by mentioning that with all the outside influence including from politicians that it would likely have some merit to be appealed on the grounds of a mistrial on that in addition to other aspects of the way the trial went (according to /Pol). They can give the mob that was literally gathering outside the building of at least a couple hundred people what they want and they will be able to go home without many consequences. The case was always going to get appealed since it is controversial and because almost every case is effectively appealed regardless of merit. Effectively two riots for the price of one dead jogger, it's just going to be conveniently timed with 2018 midterms or something else that the government needs people to be riled up for.
That's how the site goes in the Thunderdome. And if you think race relations is bad, try talking about China.Doomposting is just stating facts.
I'm not sure about 3 because minorities and leftists are all in on the ACAB mentality. If anything, you'll see something like CHAZ where a warlord and his followers are running the show.View attachment 2104256
Honestly the only riots I am seeing so far are coming from people mad on here. I don't think there are going to be big riots now, more of an anticlimax.
Like I said before the verdict, I think the real consequences will be seen a few years down the line, particularly in Minneapolis as people stop being police officers.
I could see three trends as a consequence of this:
1) Crime goes up, obviously, as it surpasses 1980s/1970s levels
2) A rise in private security in a lot of locations
3) I don't think many right-wing kiwis will like this one, but a general ethnic replacement of police officers with POCs and other new immigrants who will not be shy in enjoying the power dynamics being reversed and will become good enforcers of the state
