General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

My ratt is that Coco hangs out with Calli. You can't tell me Ms. Baggy Clothing Edgelord would wear Adidas unless a certain someone didn't either get it for her (Like Coco bought Adidas clothes for Kanata) or she was pushed to buy it.

That's basically all these "Doxxers" do. I swear I posted a public NND clip here with Korone, a few days later it pops up in a REAL LIFE KORONE clip. 45% of them are just lazy fucks leeching off one another and another 45% get stuff recommended to them by YouTube. And that includes that POKA bugman. Just leaves maybe 10% of people actually doing some effort, and I'm pretty sure that's being very generous.
I can only remember joining a server ran by POKA or some prolific doxfags and a bunch of Indonesian members did try to find more about Anya and Reine (before people are becoming paranoid because of le wealth and power) and that's it. These channels won't be willing to actually dig up information themselves when they have others doing the job for them.

Could it be... the fabled Kiryu Coco x Adidas sponsorship happening for real!?

rrat: coco being the smart dragon she is cooked up a scheme to get some russian simps as anti-antis.

No horns, no Watame. No discussion.

the worst part that it's a waste of time, you already get the "real" watame just watching her long enough and this is just a video of someone jumping around in a suit where you hardly see anything of the face.

You missed those congratulations on Twitter? Nene's pretty damn well loved by her genmates and senpais.

not even my oshis make up for the feeling of losing braincells every time I look at twitter.

I didn't want to imply they didn't care or ignored the debut (they probably already congratulated her privately, twitter is just PR in this case), but the best part is always the interaction in 3d and the crazy stuff that happens, just remember that legendary marine/coco stream. I get wuflu makes it difficult to bring people in, but they could've still done a call-in segment. like I said it's great how cover went all out for the seal and gave her plenty of time and space to shine, but now imagine 3d collab shenanigans on top of it where they put nene's new model through it's paces.

fwiw kanata's 3d birthday stream is tomorrow and nene is in the announcement, between kanata, marine and haachama alone I expect things to get wild.

Lina from Slayers is jumping into the rabbit hole of VTubers.

As a person that was going to watch Slayers this month, I’m going to be interested to see how this plays this out.

I was wondering why companies owning popular anime characters aren't jumping onto vtuber train and here it is. I expect more anime and video games characters to do livestreams/events like that.

They will have to get the VA to commit to a character and take time off from working with other companies, doing live events and things of that nature.
Or if they replace the anime/game VA with a different one for the vtuber the fans may have a problem and create antis from the start.

Yeah I think more are going to cotton on soon that they can do this sort of stuff with some of the characters they own and bits. But like Rakila said, it kind of a thing you have to fully commit to if you going to do it properly, it basically becomes a big part of your lifestyle and for already successful VA's that are needed for other roles there just no time for them to do it.

Granted they could do it every now and again to sort of use it for a promotional purposes at events and stuff, but that's as far as I see it going for already well established big name characters.

only thing that bothered me a bit that no one congratulated her (or I missed it..?) when that was a thing in the past. goofing off in 3d with others was always fun when they could actually act and move around for the first time. otoh there's a collab coming up in a few days so maybe they wanted nenechi to have her own show to shine where she's in the spotlight the whole time (definitely deserved it). yagoo probably shed a tear too for her keeping his dream alive.
A bunch of the girls (at least Kiara, Polka, Botan and Lamy) were kinda live-tweeting the whole thing.

Understandable.

They kinda went with the solo-concert, which I think was a pretty good choice; she missed the concert with the others, and she really wanted to sing, so giving her a full concert as a 3D was a good choice.

On the other hand, music and pretty much every idol anime has the VA's spending time offscreen practicing for irl performances. I don't think it could happen with already well-established voice actors/roles but it wouldn't surprise me if a bunch of vtuber themed multimedia projects started springing up.

Azur Lane already kinda did that by getting the VA for Pamiat to shill recent updates while behind a virtual model. Since gacha games are a haven for small-time actors, you might see more characters from such series like Granblue and FGO to pop up as time goes by.

genshin impact does it in CN and EN where they use the characters to announce new updates, and paimon's VA is an indy vtuber already (although the name eludes me atm), so if they wanted to do it in jp as well it shouldn't be that hard.

Someone made an animation for the 1 year old princess threw a tantrum befitting her age.
said animator has done some pretty good animations of other hololive scenarios. The ones with Aqua really tug at the heartstrings at how introverted she is and how she's trying to not be with her fellow hololivers
