On the one hand a small part of me empathizes with him because if I lost a huge chunk of my income suddenly I'd go crazy and panic and get depressed too. Then I remember how unapologetically toxic he is, and how even now he refuses to admit he's ever done anything wrong and this is all the fault of someone at Twitch who's been misled by the detractors.

Like the start of every major arc he had a chance to use this to totally spin things his way, rebrand himself with an image people don't fucking hate, start over and get on more regular and sustainable income over on youtube or something - and like every other time he's thrown it away because of how pigheaded and egotistical he is. I like to think of myself as a nice guy who cares what happens to other people but Phil deserves this 100%.

An amusing observation occurred to me after reading all this discussion about the different decisions and contingencies he may have to consider for an alternative streaming platform and avoiding loss of income.

It's all well and good for the Pigroach to surround himself with a fanbase and moderator staff comprised almost exclusively of actual retarrrs to ensure fanatical loyalty and maximum paypigging.

But being surrounded by nothing but retarrrs will make it difficult to get good advice or thoughtful analysis on something as complex (for him) as deciding whether to abandon Twitch or what alternative to choose.

Can you imagine what the new Mahd Discord looks like right now? Retarrrs like Madara scrambling to offer half-baked shit ideas to his lord, who wails in anguish at the simple-minded idiocy of his most trusted courtiers. The Half-Wit Pigroach may be King in the Land of the Dumb, but it's still the Land of the Dumb.

The fact that he's willing to forgo streaming on a platform that everyone uses, and for the most part yt themselves act like small time gaming streamers don't even exist, even the partnered ones, and that'll probably largely leave him the fuck alone unless he really starts going overboard in his behavior, just goes to show how much of a safe space he requires. The big meanie heads that go into yt chat might troll me, so I'll just stay on twitch and beg for $10,000 a month instead. 62 IQ plays. LTG says the most off the wall shit and it's like he's untouchable on that platform.

asking 800 people to "pledge" $5 a month on patreon to replace 800 subs which are paid out at $3.50 or $2.50 ea.. the pig math just doesn't make sense

someone did some rough estimates earlier and determined subs and bits would be about $164 a stream, the tip goal is at $200 a stream

either way, it's DSP. he's going to find a way to ask for more money even if he's gets $500 in tips every stream

I think we’re overestimating the impact Phil’s lost income is going to have on him. He’ll be completely fine “behind the scenes” but he will be using this lost income as a permanent use case to constantly feign distress even moreso than before.

He never needed to make upwards of $10,000/ mo. His expenses cannot surpass $5,000/ mo (especially since his bankruptcy has been granted) if he were to regulate his spending and cut down on his mobile game addiction.

Which, if he were to cut that out, he could survive very easily and comfortably on $100 per stream, Patreon and Google Ads. If he could come up with different ways and events to garner more tips on certain days by being more creative throughout the month to shake more tips out of his paypigs, he has nothing to worry about. Add some of his wife’s income to help with bills, what the fuck has changed, really? This is a situation where this sleazy fuck should have never been in a position to make as much money as he was in the first place.

Instead, we have the laziest approach ever which is: “I have no plans whatsoever to modify my existing budget or change my lifestyle so all monies obtained through cheering and subbing MUST be converted to tipping. Step the fuck up or get the fuck out.”

I guess this is what happens when someone considers their Twitch money as passive income that they thought was always going to be there regardless of their behavior and always took it for granted (hey, look, I just described his behavior regarding his YT income during his “white hot, popular days”... funny how history repeats itself).

What we saw yesterday is simply something that would have happened in a few years anyways. Twitch just accelerated Phil’s inevitable decline by tightening the self-made noose that’s always been around his neck.
