A couple of years ago I would have agreed with you - also a big fan of goreshit too. Unfortunately we're seeing this shit unravel itself with sewerslvt right now but this isn't the first time. Remember weyheyhey? Even way before that, Renard? Not the same genres exactly but both of these people are i guess "lolicore-adjacent".

Again with this stupid fucking excuse of 'raising awareness'. They're doing this to be edgy. I know this is 100% true because the music NEVER accentuates the samples, Ethan's edgy samples are always just... thrown in there at seemingly random.

There is a song by Michael Gira in which he samples a vicious argument he had with his then gf, over his alcoholism. The point of the song is to tell this woman that 'you see through me', and it essentially serves as his apology for his behavior as an alcoholic. It's pretty potent and important music, that I think could help belligerent alcoholics come to terms with the damage they're causing to those around them. The key thing I'd like to highlight, is that the music serves the sample, rather than the sample serving the music like Ethan does. The song would not be the same without the sample. It would feel empty, and like it was missing a fundamental component. Ethan's music is not like this. Every song he has made could function the exact same if the edgelord samples in it were removed. When you're dealing with samples involving real trauma, real suffering, nuances like this make all the difference between being an artistic genius, and an absolute piece of shit.

Honestly, I don't think Etika would mind someone sampling his suicide message, if it was done tastefully. I think he'd actually find it quite important and beautiful, and might even feel honored that someone empathized with him to the extent of telling his story. That's just my opinion as a long-time viewer of his stream. I'm pretty sure he'd find Ethan's usage of his pain for attention to be pretty fucking vile, though.

What do you mean by 'laughed at the concept'? He cared about making a positive impact, a lot. I don't think he would've seen the sampling of his final video as a meme.

A lot of his pre-suicide meltdown dealt with him struggling to find his purpose, and struggling to find a way to make people's lives better. The ramblings come off as insane, but if you listen to the feelings, rather than the words, you find a man who cared more about his fans than practically any other e-celeb. I mean, how many reaction channels admit that their reactions are fake, just to be honest with their fans? Sure he could've handled his stream format a lot better, but the stream's disfunction seems to be the result of a lack of experience, soaring popularity, and severe (this really can't be understated) mental illness.

You can just tell none if his fans even know what liquid drum and bass is. Correct, although I do not know if that was pre or post coming out as trans. Also there's a lot of trans people that don't outwardly show being trans, especially young adults who still live with parents, where the threat of getting kicked out is very high.
 
An old friend of mine used to talk to Sewerslvt. They told me that he was extremely mentally ill even before his tranny phase to the point where he occasionally ate glass. They also told me that he also used to have a girlfriend but I don't know what even happened.
