So a bit of an update from my state, which is called the People's Republic of North Carolina by some of our neighbors to the south. Our governor glorious king has decreed that COVID-19 restrictions may be lifted on June 1st, including the mask mandate. But one of the requirements I heard is that he wants 2/3 of the adult population to be vaccinated (I'm guessing fully).

I am the only one in my immediate family that has not gotten a vaccine. Both my parents have had their two shots and my brother is scheduled for his second one in May. Although he doesn't accept everything Fauci says absolute truth, his weight is not ideal for his age and being vaccinated will be beneficial for what he does for a living. As for me, I still plan on taking my chances with the coof if I eventually end up getting it. The only health I'm concerned with currently is my mental health.

Maybe I am being misled due to all the shock news articles, but does anyone know why all the adverse reactions seem to be so much worse in Women than Men? It is very interesting that the vaccines are affecting women of childbearing age, and those who are on birth control. Estrogen increases clotting, that's why blood clots are a risk with birth control that contain estrogen normally. Something in the vaccines could be messing with the estrogen levels in the body, which is why women are suddenly having serious clotting issues or having abnormal vaginal bleeding.

Also, if you guys will forgive a personal sperg, I find it a bit unsettling how many people are chalking up these period issues to "stress". I know objectively that this is because periods in general are kind of a fucked up subject (so many people are on BC and have been since they were teenagers, many adults have IUDs, etc.) in terms of data collection, but at the same time there's a difference between being a few days late and missing a whole month. Also COVID could already "target" young people. The myth is coming from increased hospitalizations in Brazil and the UK, but that has more to do with the newer substrains being more infectious/transmissible and infecting more people at once.
