Any community that caters to "rejects" is going to attract predators. Be it the LGBT community, kink groups, furries, goths, you name it, predators will find their way there. If you don't gatekeep thoroughly and aggressively, they turn into cesspools.
Troons have spent the better part of the last ten years framing any attempt at gatekeeping as evil and exclusionist, to the point where literally anyone can be trans. They've also painted themselves as perpetual victims by acting like every single troon experiences the same struggles as crack-addicted black tranny prostitute living under a bridge. They can do anything short of out right admitting they're pedophiles and the woke mob will defend them. Hell, you can out right admit that pictures of babies make you horny and get away with it (see Billy LaBelle's thread).
Welcome to why, if you go into some of the trans groups that are away from the pretty toxic social media scene, you can find trans people who are very much for gatekeeping!
Hell, the troons' entire complaint about truscum is that they
exist and are pissy about troon appropriation. Insisting somebody actually
have gender dysphoria is transphobic, don't you know? Troons
love inclusivity, to sometimes really impressive levels; I've seen a few get their brains broken by discovering that not everybody they try to include as trans is
okay with this. This is one reason to watch troons run into people who are third gender--the troons will try to be so very inclusive...and the third gender people tend to be "Fuck off, we're
not troons!"
Seriously, about the only people who seem to like troons
are troons, and Wokeandians who need to virtue signal to allievate their guilt for being (spiritually, anyway) White cishet men.
As much as they may sperg out about "cis hetero patriarchy", troons actually hate:
1) Trans people who pass (truscum) the most
2) cis lesbians (because they won't sleep with them), next
3) cis straight women (because they won't sleep with them), Third
I'm not sure they really think about straight men or gay men all that much.
Truscum are transmedicalists--people who believe that you ain't trans if you don't have gender dysphoria. (This is actually why the whole question of "Is somebody who is intersex--not really either--actually capable of being trans, or is it just a really unfortunate fuck-up being corrected?" I
have seen intersex junk IRL. Sometimes it's just the doc flipped a coin, or...well, I'm sure we
all got questions.)
But yeah, in my experience they do tend to be better at passing, because they actually
do want to, so they'll put the effort in. We're talking shit like learning makeup, getting
competent at ensuring the bulges are where they should be, changing their body language...some even actually get walking right. (Seriously, this is the most accurate way to clock somebody, in my experience; it's a combination of people not realizing their gait is a giveaway, and just the pelvis being the least likely place to be screwy due to hormonal fuckery. A ciswoman might get a bad case of manface, but if she's got a man's pelvic girdle, there should be Questions getting asked.)
As for how they think about straight men, I think they see them as a threat (after all, Chad can get laid by willing women!) and in my experience...just...don't admit to being a gay man around 'em.
Especially if you're already on the femme side.
And to round it out: They don't seem to care that much for transwomen. Sometimes I suspect that might be the sole common ground between them and the more bovine TERFs.
