I mean, look at that guy.

If he was liberal you'd all be making fun of him.
i'll make fun of him regardless for being a consoomer

Good God what's with Disney channel becoming so fucking political.
everything is political
you have to think politically 24/7
you have to struggle all the time

and these faggots wonder why they are stressed out all the time

Still it feels like they gone overboard with politics since Biden became President. I don't even remember them doing this when Obama was in office. I mean sure they had Michelle Obama guest starred on Jessie. But that wasn't really anything political.

Lol yeah Conservative Disney megaconsoomers are cows too, especially when they make big productions out of announcing that they're DONE WITH DISNEY FOR GOOD and act like they've been personally betrayed by woke corporatists doing what they've been doing for years. You'd think their best friend suddenly called them a Nazi who needs to die, but no it's over Disney doing performative activism. Guess they're self important and think withdrawing their financial support of Disney is a big deal because of the insane amounts of money they spent on Disney. :story:

All of these people, regardless of views, spend too much money on going to Disney parks and buying Disney merchandise.

Yeah, I had a laugh about how thinks all the money he spends in Orlando on Disney is so important that they'll really miss when he stops giving it to them for realsies, so they'll be sorry, honest! I wonder if he said the same thing when people started organizing Gay Days, or when Obama was added to Hall of Presidents. Is he aware that Lady and the Tramp is about premarital sex with someone who isn't respectable (also bonus attempted rape)? Or the allusion to unplanned/unwed pregnancies in the Mr. Stork song in Dumbo? What about the topless lady centaurs in Fantasia, or the topless (underaged) teen in Melody Time?

I mean look at the guy he looks like he's gonna ram a knife in your chest at any moment.

I don't know. The lazy eye, the giant buck teeth, the shitty mustache. He looks more like babybooey than someone who would stab you for a taco.

fatty has some decent points but Disney World went to shit about twenty years ago
maintenance went downhill drastically, the blanded-up the restaurants and drove the prices up majorly to push people to the dining plan, fastpass meant everybody is milling around instead of actually being in a queue so the parks' non-queue areas became way overcrowded
hell the pc shit goes back to the 90s when they took the wacky rape attempts out of Pirates
if a pixie dust snorting addict like him hasn't quit yet he still won't quit, unless this is him throwing a spaz because he can't buy an ap anymore

My fucking god this is so childish I wonder if Defunctland is literally retarded.
More like an elitist, I've noticed that a good handful of these "media historians" types have a snooty aura about them. Takes a lot of effort to get popular off of someone elses hard work, yah know?

I found the "thousands of dollars" bit more baffling than anything else in that article, well that and the Disney worshipping. Walt was an interesting and hugely influential man, but he wasn't a god like some people make him out to be.

Many Disnoids like Defunctland on Twitter are upset about this:
The reaction from Woke Disney park fans over these PC changes just boggles my mind.

We're talking people who spend hours writing or talking about how much they hate it when Disney changes the smallest thing and then all of a sudden Disney scraps arguably THE most iconic show scene of all their rides (the "we want the redhead" auction scene) and... complete indifference.

I can only think of one left leaning Disney park fan who is critical of the changes and that's Dave Ensign, one of the duo who snuck into Horizons in the late 1990s to take a bunch of photos, I'm actually pretty proud of that guy for that.

But then meanwhile there's Foxxfur, a trans furry and yes, I know, I know, it's sounding really bad already, but they have a Disney park blog they've been writing on for over a decade called Passports to Dreams Old and New, we're talking someone who used to be incredibly anal about the smallest details, all of a sudden being indifferent to such a major change, barely even addressing it at all other than making an argument for why they think it's happened, but not seeming all that upset about it, even though if I expected anyone to be upset about it, it would have been them.

And then finally there's Defunctland, who I've been a fan of their videos since basically the beginning, but I'm very disappointed by his display on Twitter.

It's disturbing how the Woke will throw anything under the bus no matter how much they love it in the name of Woke.

And the ironic thing is you could make the argument that the entirety of both Disneyland and the Magic Kingdom are one great big ode to white people and white cultural achievements, focusing on the Magic Kingdom we have Mainstreet USA, celebrating old timey America long, long before civil rights, then there's Adventureland which is all about how wacky and exotic the non-white parts of the world are, then there's Frontierland celebrating how the west was won by the white man, Liberty Square focusing on American history of course, Fantasyland celebrating European fairytales and folklore and Tomorrowland celebrating the future as imagined by someone like Werner Von Braun.

All of this stuff revolving around a great big, gleaming European castle, as if it's the ultimate symbol of Eurocentrism.

So the whole park could be "canceled" as the prevailing theme is basically "white people are awesome!" or at the very least it's one great big celebration of western civilization, a civilization that just so happens to be "white"

And I'm sure Walt Disney himself, being a man born in the early 20th century, probably didn't have super progressive views either, so in theory he could be "canceled" as well.

My point is when you follow Woke logic to it's endpoint it's something that could literally destroy everything, everything is to some degree "cancelable", the fact that Woke Disney fans can't see the danger of allowing that slippery slope and how it could absolutely destroy those parks as they once were is mind boggling to me, especially as I said it's following years of these very same people hyping up the importance of Disney park preservation.

Yeah, especially FoxxFur, dude will write up and document the entire history of a patio in Adventureland going back blueprints, concept art, random photos from fifty sources, and other crazy shit.

Have you noticed how leftists seem to be incapable of not sounding like they are laughing all the time when "owning" the right? And nice job calling him racist for not liking his immersive escapist rides being politicized.

Also his childish strawmanning...it feels like the kind of thing an elitist bully who wants to make his victim feel small would do honestly.
Mat burnet was even worse (yes that is his tweet but I cutoff his name)

That guy has "Disney lover" in his twitter handle (followed by he/him and black lives matter because of course he does) and yet he doesn't give a shit as more and more of Disney history gets erased on the alter of political correctness. If anything he's probably one of the biggest voices calling for it.

It's ironic how hes a cartoon sperg yet as Disney pulls shit like this, and adding stupid disclaimers to their older programs on plus or removing old cartoons from the kids section of plus, (and in an unrelated note saying there's no such thing as cancel culture while commenting on Pepe le pew litteraly getting cancelled from space jam 2) He either has nothing to say about it or is actually saying its a good thing and better that they do it.

Brainwashed from the sounds of it. Won't attack it if it's "woke" or pushed by the powers that be.

They removed him from the movie a year ago and told no one, largely because they thought the scene he was supposed to be in wasn't going to work (and we didn't miss much anyway if the descriptions are right), and not in response to bullshit SJW public pressure.

This is not, in any sense of the word, cancel culture. I'm sorry, I just have to say it.

And then Disney does away with arguably the most iconic show scene of all their rides and it's met with indifference by them.

The nicest thing I can say is at least they're reasoning for why it happened (people no longer understand the pirates are the villains) makes sense.

I'm fine with the Woodie Strode natives being removed from Jungle Cruise, I'm still not over the terrible rushjob and pointless change to the auction scene in pirates.

Plus Song Of The South isn't racist.
