Friday Night Funkin - Getting freaky on a friday night

I hate this game, not because the creator wants to kill all niggers or whatever, but because I keep finding vore of the characters drawn with crayola markers by fucking 12 year olds when I look for islamic content in kink tags to put in the halal cringe channel in my friend's discord, and it makes me want to beat up children.

It could be for a myriad of reasons; nostalgia, ease of access, art style, the ost, and simplistic, but still challenging gameplay. Rhythm games have kind of been a rarity lately and Guitar Hero and Rock Band just faded off with only Clone Hero to fill the void. The reason I'm drawn to the game right now is because of all of the above I've mentioned up top. I used to play a lot of Newgrounds and something like this is kind of a nostalgia trip for me. Also the game's fun and its simplicity but challenging gameplay with its four arrows make it a lot more comfortable to play as opposed to Osu! which requires me to have precise mouse movements which is something I can't for the life of me do.

He's the one getting most of the recognition along with Kawaii Sprite. NM kind of showed his ego a bit on making week 7, with that infamous twitter post of him comparing the week and a popular mod (Whitty). the one with the rampant "Not to let that mod down but, we're going to do it the COOL way". I get that NM is a kid, but comparing a mod to a official week like you want to one-up it like that is.... wow. I'm all up for seeing a mod as your inspiration, but the way he worded it was anything else. There's also that Kawaii is talking about being trans and whatnot on the twitter. Unless someone really reigns the two, something is going to really explode if/when it happens.
Phantom Arcade should had gotten more recognition for making it popular by marketing it in the first place, and SrPelo and Johnny for contributing on further kicking it off.

On strictly the video game topic: I want instrumentals-only of the songs, I don't really like the 'voices' used on top of them.

ngl I think this game's fun and i like the character designs/art. (plus its my first game I've ever modded so thanks)

And then there's a whole ass mod making fun of a mary sue and shifting.

Shitposting aside, I know one kid who sits on his phone and watches FNF content on youtube. Never played this but the ease of moddibility intrigues me.

When I first saw thumbnails for this game on YouTube, I thought it was just another DDR clone, which it seems to be imo, the only thing setting it apart seems to be the art or the weird voices over the tracks.
Also the fandom is weird/autistic as hell from the very brief instances I've seen it.

Hopefully the game does well though, would be a shame if something that got this popular just flopped massively.
