i dont really know how it works tbh, but what i know is sexual orientation doesnt have to do with the way i present myself afaik. being called a she just clicks better in my mind for some reason. i am and will probably be a bi man irl because its easier to get a job when you arent perceived as a crazy person. its probable that im just either a very feminine man or whatever, im not entirely sure. figuring that one out for now. sometimes i think im just a guy fetishizing the idea of being a woman, sometimes i know im not ever gonna look the same but im going to look like whatever the future myself is. idk tbh, its a complicated subject for me atm

this is definitely not my expertise because i have absolutely no idea about the answer to any of these questions. i am not that much in touch with the breakcore community, im just kind of floating around it. this is just whats in my mind but i could be wrong so im open to anything tbh:
one of the explanations i have in mind is that before transitioning or realizing that the gender that they have been assigned doesn't match with the way they perceive themselves as, trans women are treated as males when they're young, and usually exposed to the same stuff that cis males would tipically be exposed to. there's a big possibility that some time ago boys were gifted more tech stuff like computers and tablets than girls because societal stereotypes are a thing. the stereotypical internet user back a decade and a half ago or a bit less was usually a cis guy and unless people stated otherwise, everyone had that kind of neutral-but-leaning-to-a-guy aura, no one used the pronown "they" to refer to anonymous people on the internet, "he" was mostly used, specially when talking about forums like this, although it's very probable that now all places are mixed with the passing of time.
i could also be wrong but im pretty sure men and women are exposed to or explore different topics on the internet. there's definitely a different audience (bad english, probably not the right word) for 4chan and buzzfeed for example.
Some of the things young men would be typically exposed to in the internet, might have included more... questionable pornographic content for some people. i mean the stereotype of a person that comsumes loli porn is usually a sorta young, disgusting and probably sick in the head or dumb guy, almost nobody is told to portray a pedophile in their head and they instantly picture a woman. so if you start connecting the dots, and believe trans people are the gender that they're assigned at birth instead of whatever they identify as or perceive themselves as, it's easy to say that trans women are just fetishizing the concept of a woman because they're desensitized of everything, including harsh topics like lolis (im calling them harsh because i dont know the correct adjective to describe them). they may also perceive themselves as weak in a world that doesnt seem to want them to be what they want to be, so they kind of take refuge in the image of a frail and small woman? idk, im rambling at this point.
now the thing that ive seen from some of these artists is that they've kind of grown with some parts of the internet that have desensitized them to a degree that might be unhealthy. sewerslvt for example can be framed in the early internet/4chan culture from back then (id definitely need to investigate that further though, i def wanna work with all the correct info), specially the ponks bakery stuff, so there's a mix of being desensitized from those harsh topics and trying to make it sound like cool equals edgy for no reason, which includes anything people would frown upon or act disgusted by. and some people that arent in the best moment of life sometimes adopt said desensitization an aesthetic of sorts. couldnt even tell you the number of tumblr and instagram profiles ive seen that's people harming themselves and writing paragraphs and paragraphs of pain. of course a neurotypical/normal person would be shocked to see that, but for other people that are completely desensitized and find that as a daily reality, some cuts on the wrist or a questionable image or two mean nothing, because they just dont give a fuck in general or they base their profile's personality in shock value i guess.
so the fact that there's a sort of "safe" space that other people would act shocked about it and that people that are similar to you are in... can sound like a plan for some marginalized groups of people like trans people. it's sort of a haven of people that end up influencing each other maybe? not sure. again im not really the best person to ask about this, i do have a couple friends n stuff here and there but im mostly doing stuff on my own. not really a fan of communities unless im learning something.
as for the lain thing, i cant say cuz ive never rlly watched it, but maybe the use of it and what it represents is a way of ironically embracing those things in a sense? like someone could recognize they could be obsessed with the internet (which is probably a thing we dont even recognize most of the time) and have such a bad perception of what their irl reality is that they might as well live in a world where everything is better for them (aka the internet)? sorry i cant help.
