That's the problem with politicians. They backtrack only because they want to do well in the polls.

It's been speculated that part of why the Biden Administration has been so gung-ho about ramming as much leftist legislation through Congress is because they're worried about the 2022 midterms and the possibility that if the GOP gets full control of Congress, Biden and Kamala are fucked.

That might be why HR 1 and removing the Filibuster are such a big deal for them.

Conversely, radical leftist legislation being sent through the House and dying in the Senate is also throwing a bone to the Woke Left and hoping they'll vote blue in 2022 to preserve the DNC's narrow majority in Congress.

Impeaching Bidet wouldn't automatically make Crazy Nancy the VP. First they would have to get her nomination through Congress after they inaugurate Kacklin' Kween Kommie, but at that point the Dems would have lost their Senate tiebreaker and they might want to choose someone else anyway.
